So do we really need a co-sponsor if we make more than 24000$ if it's not w2 it's only 99??  .Our lawyer said we need it to qualify the case  . Is not gonna affect our case in Casablanca morocco embassy??? . I headed they are not easy . Pls if someone know anything answer me back in so worried ....

You also should get a letter from your employer stating when you started, permanent or temp, and annual salary with a company header (if possible) If you dont work for just one company then it should basically be in your tax transcripts. Hope this helps

From my research, if you are self employed then you take your tax transcripts for the past 3 years. They will most likely look at your most recent one, but just in case. People also suggest printing out your bank statements for the past year, but that depends if your embassy is difficult or not. If you bring all of those then you should be good

Ooh yeah exactly thank u soo much such relief ☺

I guess having your interview done at a newly opened embassy is a benefit! Our case went in transit on Wednesday and then disappeared from the tracker yesterday. When I did a search I got "Your search did not return any data." so I began thinking that it was probably an electronic transfer being a new embassy and all and that it had dropped between the crack of In Transit and Ready. I had planned to call and check first thing this morning but I got a photo from a jubilant fiancee at 4:30 this morning of confirmation that the embassy has received her case and scheduled her interview for October 18th. The medical is next Wednesday and the woman who yesterday was telling me that she was sure that it was going to take until December or January to get to the next step is freaking out because it's happening so quickly (like I told her it would). What a rollercoaster ride!

Wow that's crazy quick!! Good for you!

Our Status is now "Ready" at the consulate.  Now we just have to wait for the packet so that we can schedule our medical and interview.  We've done the DS-160 already, and pretty sure we have all of our other ducks lined up.  The only downer in all of this is that Trump is going over there for the APEC meeting, so the consulate will be limited between 10/23/ and 11/15.  Anything I might have missed?

That's a big bummer, but it's exciting that you're getting so close! Congrats!

Met on 15th of October, 2014 - started dating soon after

Became separated by the Atlantic Ocean on the 11th of July, 2015

3 whole weeks? Wow, that's a lot

I don't know how it exactly works for your Consulate, but I was also supposed to wait for packet 3 to send my documents before I could schedule anything, and emailing them myself instead of just waiting was quite helpful to speed things up a bit.

Maybe you can do that too if they don't contact you in a few days, because those two weeks before the meeting could give you some leeway.

Fingers crossed for some quick movement :)

Here is a video from the US Embassy in Manila.

It is a few years old but still very relevant.

Not all country embassies allow the American to attend but apparently the Embassies that do allow appreciate when both parties are there.

Long video but good tips for any country.

If anyone gone through the interview please share experience

You find in this thread reports from various embassies, and they all pretty much report the same type of questions.  Names, ages, how did you meet, when you getting married, where do you plan to live, and so on.

Having said that, your embassy is in Pakistan based on your timeline.  Who knows if the questions are similar or whether have been specifically tailored for your area of the world.  I don't really know how strict that particular embassy is.  My suggestion would be to look here in the regional sub-forum:   http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/91-asia-south/

Another suggestion would be to go to the embassy review section of this site.  See the navigation bar above.

Finally done.
