Interview re-scheduled

No email notification in my account. I just randomly checked and saw the letter in documents. Status just says case transfered doesn't say interview scheduled.

Filed 7/23/2019

Local office Queens

Was scheduled in April and got de-scheduled because of COVID

I-751 pending.

It's also strange that I changed my address and my case was transferred afterwards but my interview is still in NYC. Based on my new address and the last inquiry I did, my case was transferred to Albany. Now I'm wondering if they got the offices mixed up. 🤔 I'll likely need to call to confirm. I'm hoping they don't cancel it 😑

Cateogory: CR1

  • NOA1/Notice of receipt: Sept. 15, 2015
  • NOA2/I130 Approved: February 8, 2016 (NO RFE) :)
  • Process slowed down by us
  • Sent documents to NVC: April 11, 2016
  • Scan date: April 14/ May 7th (NVC said both I dont know why)
  • Case Complete: May 31, 2016 (No checklist) :dancing:

August 17, 2016: Visa Approved!!!! :dancing:

I'll be moving to TX soon (from NY). I'm curious about your case. How soon after filing your N400 did you move? And did you move before or after the biometrics.

You also mentioned Albany so I'm guessing you only moved within the state and not to another state?

Spoiler

Hi, I actually moved after my interview was de-scheduled in April. I was planning to move after my interview but with COVID and the uncertainty I decided not to wait.

Yeah I moved within NY just outside of NYC.

Anyone knows if the estimated wait time in the USCIS website is accurate? It says 11 days and estimated case compilation is October 2020.

My timeline:

I submitted my N-400 application on January 2020 and a pending I-751 application submitted on March 2019.

I have my doubts. I applied in October 2019 in NYC (Manhattan), and throughout Covid, the date stayed unchanged (Sept 2020).

How could what was projected before Covid still be current when they stopped processing anything for several months?

There are two dates in the USCIS website. One is the "Estimated date completion time" and the second is the "estimated wait time", which I believe refers to the next time the applicant supposed to hear back from USCIS.

My "Estimated date completion time" was updated 2 weeks ago. Completion date was September 2020 (Changed to October 2020) and I didn't have any "estimated wait time" days count down at all, which I have now.

Same. I applied in Oct 19, Manhattan office.  "Estimated date completion time" is Oct 20.  But not sure it would happen due to COVID
