Yes it has been like that for about a week and a half, but if you just paid give it about 2-3 days from when you paid for it to go through if still says in process give them a call or shoot them an email.

I see. Apparently mine went through cause it shows on the receipts tab and it even says the transaction date and time. Hopefully that's the case.

How can you tell if the fees have been unlocked?

After you log in to ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx, the AOS fee section says Pay Now and you can click on it to pay

Btw the pay button failed on Chrome browser for me. I had to use Safari.

Preparing I-864 and IV Package...

I am so confused and going crazy reading. I received my welcome email with both checklists for the AOS and the IV fee (they both say the same thing).

1. I am supposed to use one cover sheet on each packet, marking with X the ones that apply depending on whether it's the beneficiary or the petitioner packet, right?

2. I found out that there's also another cover sheet that's generated when you pay for the fees. Right now my AOS payment is in process but I can still see the document cover sheet that has the barcode and address where the packet has to be sent.

3. If I want to send my packet without waiting to process the IV fee, how many of this second cover sheet do I need? I've read you can use it for both the AOS and IV packet but I am so confused since I thought the only cover sheet needed was the one sent in the welcome email.

You must include the cover sheet with the barcode with your packet. Try logging into your CEAC account and click on the fees tab. At the bottom there is a blue button that says Print Document Cover Sheet. Try to see if you're able to print it from there.

@cleon86 I finally got to the stage where I can see this. How many of this "document cover sheet" on the fees tab do I need? Is it one for the whole NVC packet or one per beneficiary/petitioner packet?

Yeah. You should apply for the new one as it has been more than a year since Jan 2016. Doesn't matter when did you leave Malaysia. The point is, the CGC must be less than a year starting from the date issued. Sorry for that. ☹️ Have you checked the website if it's ready?

Why do they need the CGC from Malaysia? Did you send the Jan 2016 after you get the checklist? How about the CGC/police record from Nigeria?

My CGC is ready for collection it takes 2 weeks,my friend will help me pick it up on Monday

Would it be ok if I send the IV and AOS packet with the Document Cover Sheet that I received on my welcome email (the one with the checklist of all required documents) OR am I supposed to also print the cover sheets generated when the fees are paid?? Somebody help please because these two cover sheets are completely different 😞

For example, the top 2 are the ones generated on the ceac website, and the bottom one is what I received on the welcome email.

Thanks!

Anyone have an idea on how soon I can schedule the biometric appointment? All I could find on the site is "AT THE LATEST" it should be 2 days before the final interview. I am trying to find out the earliest we can get the biometrics done. Any idea?

Urgent question. I'm sending off my checklist package today. On the I-864A it asks to check if you have filed tax return for all three years and include mos the recent transcript. It does not give the option to check that you haven't filed all 3 years. The household member of our co-sponsor did not file 2014. So do they just check the box and put 0 on 2014 or leave it unchecked ?

Thanks. My checklist cover sheet also doesn't state passport pictures anywhere. Does that mean I don't have to send them to NVC and I just have to bring them to the interview?

I went to pay the AOS fee and it asked for the bank information but when I clicked to submit it I got an error message that said:

"There are one or more errors with your submission. Please correct the areas indicated below. Once completed, click the Make Payment button to continue: An error occurred while submitting your payment. Please try again later" and blah blah blah.

However, when I went back to the ceac portal it shows "In Process". Does it mean it went through?

So my AOS fee went back to "Pay Now". Should I try paying again?

I just want to make sure I dont pay twice because the first time it showed "in process" and I could see it on the receipt tab but now all of that disappeared.
