So, I'm joining the group as an April filer and I've walked into the perfect storm. Our I-751 package was received 4/19/17 (signed for by E.Barr) GC expiry date us 6/8/17. We were planning on filing early but had some time consuming things come up and it was put on the back burner. We've still filed well before the 90 days is up.
Here is my conundrum, I've just accepted a new position out of state and we're looking to move in 2 weeks so I can start my job on 5/15. I'm hoping that I'll receive a NOA during the next 2 weeks. What are my chances?

I followed the I-751 instructions, which states under "How to fill out Form I-751" Question 3 :

Quote

Answer all questions fully and accurately. If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed. If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless otherwise directed.

I've read from others that leaving a section blank could be mistaken as you not answering (or missing) the question (rather than the question not applying to you). I decided to just go crazy and add N/A to everything that didn't apply, just so the application was extra clear to the USCIS officer handling the case.

In fairness, it did seem silly adding "N/A" to Childs 2, 3, 4, and 5 after writing "N/A" for Child 1...

Hi,

Yes I did. Though it seems silly to put N/A to all of those you are referring too, I still put NA on it and uscis accepted it. I think whether you put NA or not it's okay. Regards.

Hi there,

I 751 package "delivered" to CSC on 04-17-17.

Still waiting for check to be cashed and NOA1.

Hoping they don´t give me a biometrics appointment between 05/16 - 05/23, since I will be vacationing in Cancun :)

My green card does not expire until 07-07 though, so I was advised me traveling is safe (by a USCIS rep over the phone). My concern was if there was a requirement for me to have the biometrics done prior to traveling abroad, but the lady said no, just not to miss appointment. But that could be re-scheduled if by any chance they schedule my appointment for that exact week...

I know I am within normal processing timeline but still can´t help getting nervous. I want to see that check cashed ASAP.

Best,

Jo

Received a document saying I-751 Receipt Notice. Is this NOA1? Sorry if this has been asked here before but what happens next? Thank you all most kindly.
