Hey all April filers! I am supposed to be an April filer too... until I realized today that I only included a check for $595 and none for the biometric fee. So frustrating to realize that because I worked so hard on front loading and organizing the whole paperwork! Does anybody know how long before they usually return the paperwork for rejection? I'm from NJ and filed in VSC and paperwork was sent last Saturday. Sigh! My card expires on June 9. :(

Just a thought, should I just refill another form, send the most basic proof such as marriage certificate, photos and risk an RFE and resend my front loaded paperwork when I receive a RFE?

I think you should wait for your rejection and send out everything again with the correct check amount, sending now another form with lack of evidence will only delay even more your prosses

Would you know how long they typically send back rejections based on wrong filing fees in VSC? I am worried I won't make my 06/09 deadline.

I don't know really 2 weeks people normally receive their NOA1 sometimes longer , but I'm sure u will get it before your deadline.

Visa Journey helped me find an error on the AOS in February 2015. In March 2015 I was also able to help my spouse get the correct birth records required by NVC by reading the Nigerian thread on Visa Journey.

April 2, 2015- Case is in Supervisor Review because the DS260 form was sent electronically January 6, 2015 but hasn't been reviewed as of yet.

April 17, 2015- I finally have the 3rd N/A next to the Affidavit of Support fee. I spoke to a supervisor yesterday (Thursday). She told me she would have the case reviewed by the end of the week. It looks like she kept her word. I will call again tonight to confirm case complete :)

April 17, 2015- CONFIRMED CASE COMPLETE

June 18, 2015- Interview

July 01 , 2015- CEAC Status Shows Issued

July 03, 2015- Welcome to USA!!!

(United Airlines roundtrip ticket estimated at $2000.00)

Welcome to April filers. That's alright , that happens to me too during my K1 processing and my lawyer actually placed an incorrect amount on the check so my paperwork got rejected that time. (never hired a lawyer again on my AOS and ROC) I think it all works for all service centers if they received an incorrect amount of check. So what I did was  I just waited for my paperwork and they returned it to me and then that's the time I sent another one again. So you don't have to worry as it also happens to anyone like me for instance. My advice is just wait for the letter and paperwork. :) Hope this helps. Regards.

I think it's approximately between 2-3 weeks that I received the letter and paperworks that time.

Check the "I-751 March 2017 Filers" thread. I believe someone had their paperwork returned due to illegible writing on the check. You can see the time frame it took them to get it back and resend it.
