i just think its a #######-shoot...like playing the lottery.... there is no method to the madness of this whole ordeal...some people get their NOA2 in less then 3 months, while others wait for what seems like an eternity!!! But what can we do? NOTHING!!! We are the Mercy of the Government....Well i am on day 68...my fiance and i are not to pleased with the long time process..but as i said, we're at the Mercy of them..According to what i read, the background check for the foreign person is done on the following step after the NOA2... So what would take so long for the NOA2 is beyond,..  Sit and wait....just like being in the Army....wait and wait.....

Waiting for the NOA2 takes a while mainly due to the sheer volume of petitions.   This one office processes every I-129F for the entire country.  They are checking documents to make sure everything is there, signed correctly, and that there are no discrepancies.  They're checking the USC's background and ensuring that both parties are legally able to marry and that they meet the qualifications for a K1 visa.

On top of that, checking out the beneficiary as well.

It goes much more quickly after NOA2 because then the cases are dispersed to the specific embassies which lessens the volume on each embassy.

This wait is a breeze- my first K1 took EIGHT months just for NOA2.

Our Journey:
04/19/2014- Met online
10/2014- Visited Nigeria and he proposed!!!!
02/28/2015- Sent I-129F petition

Is it me or has the NOA2 notifications all but died off for the March filers? The happy greetings have all but ceased. I haven't seen any action on applications in the last week of March on VJ. I don't expect a windfall of approvals today either with it being a give-me holiday in between the weekend and Independence Day. They're open but I guarantee you it's a skeleton crew.

It's being kind of slow, but there's still some approvals dropping. I've seen one today and a few more end of last week.

Maybe the Approvals coming are for people not on VJ, which wouldn't be weird considering the huge number of applications in that month.

But yep, really hoping things pick up the pace end of this week.
