Well, the doctor performing the general examination said everything was great, and same with the X-rays, but I'll get the results for the blood and urine tests next week... though it's going to be ok, because I don't have what they are looking for (STD's). The only concern is my varicella test, because the nurse said sometimes you can still not be immune to it even if you had the disease when a kid, but I think that has to be like a one in a million chance and, worse case scenario, I'll get the vaccine right then and there and ask them to update my DS3025

That's good! At least they let you know some stuff, so you can have a little piece of mind. But like you said, you're gonna be okay. If you have to have the vaccine, that's the wonderful thing about this process. They can do it for us then and there. Of course, it sucks that we have to pay extra, but it's so much better than having to worry about it in America. I know the prices would be much more in U.S. so it's better to get it done while you're still in your country. So, there you go! Now you just have the interview to worry about!!! And you're gonna nail it!! I just know it.

None!

I had already got a reminder for the tetanus around a month ago at my medical center for free, so everything was up to date.

Anyone have experience with an average time it takes for the CSC to approve your case after you sent in the RFE evidence?

 

They recieved my evidence on the 7th of September.

So i have been waiting patiently seeing all these approvals and interviews being scheduled.  But finally got my NOA2 i was surprised to see it because i check my Informed delivery everyday and had not seen anything was going to be delivered.  but when i walk into my house I had a nice present waiting for me.  On to the next step!! I have no words to describe how i am feeling finally having this notice on hand!!

Are you saying that your petition was denied?  When you get your paper, let us know the reason!  

 

Your situation will determine what needs to happen next.

 

Did you meet all of the requirements for filing? 

1) Your fiancé is a US citizen.

2) You've met within the past two years.

3) Both of you are free and legally able to get married within 90 days of arrival.

 

It is very difficult to have your petition denied.  Usually they will issue an RFE before they deny to try and get more evidence or clarification.

 

Do you know what the situation could be?  Did you ever have any type of formal engagement ceremony?

I planned to go to Cove Haven before but it was pretty expensive.  The place so beautiful!  They've got rooms with private pools, circular beds, the champagne glass hot tubs.  They're also one of the only all-inclusive resorts in the US- and they are couples only!

 

I promise that I do not do marketing, haha- I just really love that place!

@Estibaliz yes it will be shorter.  question for you. for the NVC i have to call and get the case number?? I know the number has been posted a thousand and one times but since i was still waiting to get approved i never wrote it down. what is the number we call for NVC?

How many days did it take for the rfe to be mailed to you? According to the website, ours was sent out Sept. 6, and fiancé hasn't received any yet....

You can call or you can wait for the letter in the mail, that usually arrives around a week after they created your case and assigned a number... I guess it depends on how fast you want to move things yourself, plus I know some people never got the letter from them, so better to call.

There's two lines to call, and both work.

For the immigrant one, press one for English and then either 7 or 5 (they deal only with electronic cases, and will tell you if yours is one of those).

But I'm sure you'll be fine. It's always more scary when we think about it, and then as soon as they're about ready to do it and you look away, it's done before you know it. I never look. I'm too scared at the site of my own blood.

Its common for them to take a week to arrive, and USPS has been affected by the hurricane, though maybe not in your area.
