he asked, and also asked if name/background checks were done

I will second having him talk to the Senior US Senators office for his state. They have people who specialize in these sorts of things. You might get it while he is talking to them/getting them paperwork approving their involvement but better than sitting on your hands I suppose.

Yep, that's definitely your case number, judging by when you got your NOA2. You don't need the NVC # for the DS-160, they specifically ask for the USCIS receipt number, but now you'll be able to book your medical and interview, since that's how it works for the Philippines.

Congratulations :)

Got my case number.  The letter from NVC says it could be up to several weeks before the Embassy contacts my fiancee but I think that may be on the high side.  Meanwhile, we will start on the DS-160.

Hello everyone!

I am a April filer and received the NOA1 on May/ 02/2017. The last update was on

05/03/2017 since then it didn't update, me and my fiancé we are both so worry and depressed, I don't know how long it going to take for NOA2. :(

Wish good luck for others.

Unfortunately I received my fiance visa form denied notification after 156 hard days of waiting. I don't know the reason yet, and I don't know what to do now! :(:(:(

Does anyone know if the USCIS is updating the case status on their website and sending notications by email, text, and email again (consistantly) or should I just expect a NOA2 or RFE by mail ?

How awful, I'm so sorry to hear that :(:( Did you try calling the USCIS to see if they could provide you with an explanation?

Ok I take that back!  I came home and the letter was in the mail even though the USCIS webpage still says received. NOA2 approved!  It looks like I was approved on Sept. 5th with no notification. :D

Which is funny because I called on the 7th and talked to a Tier 1 agent and they said it was still received as well. (Just like the webpage said.)  I guess it goes to show that Tier 1 really is just reading the webpage like us.

Excellent!  Congratulations!!! :)

Hello all, I posted back in April that I applied on April 24th, noa1 was received I believe on the 2nd of May.

My application is out of the California service center, I guess I'm wondering if anyone else is waiting this long and heard nothing. It's been over 120 days.

Congratulations, it gives me hope! I called a Tier 1 on Thursday or Friday and I was told the date it was received and I see no updates.. As I've mentioned before I hate going to the mailbox because it just reminds me that nothing has come yet. Hopefully my day will come soon!!
