Thank you for such a quick response! I'm pretty sure Canada handles status during renewal the same way as the US as he is still able to work, travel etc within Canada. My question isn't so much about the PR card process but about the us embassy seeing it as a problem during his interview for the K1 visa.  I know they will look at his passport and am hoping to avoid any possible issues!

Alright. If he still has legal status, he just needs to carry proof of that (and show it if asked) then he should be fine.

Yes, my case is already at the Embassy in Venezuela, but what I'm saying is that the NVC usually sends a letter to the petitioner after they received the case, and we haven't received it yet

Do you mean the packet 3? Packet 3 comes from the US embassy in the beneficiary's country. Some countries mail out a packet 3 (which contains country-specific instructions and a form that the beneficiary has to sign and mail back to the embassy) some countries do not mail out a packet 3.

Examples:

My consulate is Singapore USEM and they mailed me a packet 3 (containing a checklist of requirements, how to get forms, how to schedule a medical, a copy of my I-129F, a copy of the I-134, domestic violence pamphlet) . They can only schedule my interview after I mail back to them a signed form they included in the packet 3, my DS-160 confirmation page and receipt of payment, the affidavit of support)

The Philippines USEM does not mail out a packet 3. Medical and Interview can be scheduled online (which I really envy because I want to schedule my own interview )

So I guess it varies per country. ^_^

Hi guys I don't know how to explain this but anyone who can give us advice we would appreciate it a lot.

So my fiance the petitioner has lost her grand father 3 months ago she has stayed with him her entire life her house is being sold or is sold already and now needs to find a place to stay, she also is struggling to find a job so we can fill out our i134 for the interview stage.

We were recently approved 2 weeks ago and now heading to nvc stage,we don't know what's going to happen as we afraid we will be rejected at the interview.:(

Any advice would be welcomed thank you for reading

Hi everyone. I have a question for beneficiaries from Philippines, does the petitioner's 2nd letter of intent to marry need to be in original copy? Does the petitioner need to send the document by mail?

I'm currently preparing the documents I need for the interview while waiting for our case number from NVC

If we need the letter in original copy, what other documents does the petitioner need to send in original copy?

Thanks,

Madelle

That's a question for those who got approved to have a better idea of everything. Let's say that when any of you check on the USCIS website with your tracking number, it says that they received your I-129f on the 21st but then later on the letter it says 25th. Did you guys follow your case by 21st or by 25th when you got NOA2 approved? (hopefully i'm making myself clear haha those are my dates)

I have a question when it is at the embassy. I checked CEAC on 3/3 and our case was ready for my fiance and child. Today 3/8 i checked and it is in Administrative Processing for fiance. Is this something to be concerned of?

I don't know what this means. Hmmm. Hopefully someone who's further along in the process will answer, because I'm curious to know as well.

I'm actually in the same situation. My case is in AP the whole time, ever since I found out my case has arrived at the embassy. Even after I scheduled my interview, it's still in AP. I think that's normal. I would start to worry if the status is still in AP AFTER the interview for a long time. Just my 2 cents.
