  1. Hey! I got into the US with my K1 visa on June and married on July. My papers didn't leave until August! With that said, as long as you get married under the 90 days, it's ok if you file after the 90 days. Prepare everything, get married and then worry about filing! Just think that the faster it gets there, the faster the process will start! 😅
  2. Hey! When they asked me my legal name and any previous names, I gave my current legal name (aka the one I got after I married) and the one I still have in my country (my country doesn't allow to get your husband's name). Anyway, I got my card with my current legal name. I am surprised you got it with your maiden. When you filed AOS, did you file with your maiden or married name?
  3. Hey! So I got my card yesterday and with that, my process with AOS is finished! Now time to wait and do my RC whenever I have to do it. With that said my AOS was: Applying to Interview = 16 months Interview to getting my GC = 10 days
  4. Hey! As many of you know, my interview was on the 19th. On the 24th I got my letter of approval and today, December 26th I got my status changed into "Card Was Mailed To Me". I will update again when I get it!
  5. Hey! I arrived there in time for my interview although I didn't get in until an hour later. Brought with me all the documents that were asked on my official letter although they only wanted some of them. They wanted to see pictures and wanted to know where does he work, where do i work, where did we get married, what was I doing somewhere I was living before, how many languages do I speak since the last country I was living in, was a different country than Spain and last, who was in my wedding. I gave the paystubs, last year tax, proof of living together like USPS digest that shows letters of my husband and I coming into the house, car insurance, retirement paper that shows both of our names, dental and medical insurance with our names, bank account with both of our names and safe with our names. They also asked me ALL the questions of my AOS application. I believe that's all we gave. They didn't ask for our medical stuff. At the end they gave us a paper saying that our case was gonna be reviewed and if everything was alright, we would get a letter. I left and 3 hours later I got an email and sms saying our card was being produced! By the way, to park inside you have to pay $7. Just saying because my husband thought it was $5 😅
  6. Awesome!! I am very happy for you guys 😄 I will post whenever I get more news!
  7. Hello everone! We had our interview this morning and everything went smoothly. They did also give us the paper that PedroDaGr8 got (that says about further check or so) but literally 3 hours later we got an email and sms saying that our card is being produced. Any idea how long it takes until they mail the card? Thank you!
  8. Hey Andsco....I've seen your posts on the AOS Seattle thread, and saw that you got your interview notification via text message a couple weeks ago.  My wife's biometrics was completed 12 days after yours, so hopefully we'll get word soon.

I just wanted to know what time of the day did you receive your text message notification?  Later in the evening?  Early morning?  I asked Rhemalove the same question, but she hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Thanks, congrats, and good luck with your interview!

Well the day that I got the sms, it was late around 7-8pm. It literally said that we got an update on our case and when I checked the website it said that I got an interview date and to wait for the letter. I see you got your NOA1 some days after me (I believe I am on the 1st August and you are 19th August) so I would guess you'll get it soon (I seriously hope they didn't stop again like they did for me back in April). Just hang in there and you'll see how quick it happens!!

Awesome! Thanks for the info....it amazes me how slowly the Seattle location is moving on AOS cases.  I was looking at a timeline from a VJ member from Columbus Ohio.  They literally got their interview 3 months after they filed for their AOS.  They applied for AOS in Sept 2017, got their interview in mid Dec 2017, and received their green card in early Jan 2018.

      Really fast!

Just keeping patient and hopeful!  I'll definitely update in the Seattle AOS post once we get our interview date.

  10. Hello Andsco

Quick question?  Did you guys submitt your I-693 medical form with your I-485 application?

Or did you just submitt it when you had your K-!1 visa interview at the embassy?

I can't remember if we sent ours with the I-485.

I look forward to your response

Hey! When I went through K1, I got my medical done and asked them for a copy of it. When I went through the applying for AOS, I gave them a copy of the medical.

  11. It's not about how long it might take but how my experience was. I was there waiting and there was literally nobody else to be processed into the country. Other employees came around asking why no one was processing me and the guy kept saying "soon" while he was just hanging with his buddies. On top of that, he kept twisting my words when asking me if I was coming in for the first time (I kept explaining that I got married last year and that I had to go back for a couple of days to attend my exams). Anyway, each experience is a different. Mine wasn't too pleasant.

Yes I saw that too. I phoned into USCIS to get the date and time. We still have not received our letter from them. They told me if it doesn't arrive in the next 5 days to call again and they will fax it to me.  Lot's of work ahead to prepare!

  13. Everyone!!! We just got a sms about our case and...we got scheduled for our interview!!! We don't know yet when but we hope it will be next month!
