What really sucks is the USCIS is not updating the " Processing Cases As Of Date" on their website. It has been saying July 2 since November!

That is true, it hasn't changed on some sections of their website. On facebook recently it was last updated November 2nd... I wish our case could be transferred maybe then we would get an approval..

Yes, and that's so frustrating, as if being at Nebraska isn't bad enough!!

We are 3 months in, i reckon we have at least another 3 months wait unless we get transferred, (wishful thinking)

Thanks! Yes, I will be going back as soon as we have the interview date set up. At our Consulate (Nairobi), it takes about 2-3 months from the day you book to the actual date of the appointment. They oversee 4 (maybe more) countries in East Africa, so they are really backed up.

But, that will give me a couple more months in the Pearl of Africa to be with my beloved in-laws and enjoy the slow pace of village life before coming back to the rush of the USA.

I am, I am going through Ghana and I figured since it is such a hard embassy we need to do everything to make sure our case gets approved. I am hoping we get an interview date in July.

Yeah, we also decided that we should go together for the interview. It would haunt me forever if I don't go and we get denied. Uganda/Kenya isn't much easier than Ghana. 

 

Good luck to you guys! You will be fine. I just saw a girl from the USA get her Ghanaian husband's visa approved after not seeing him in person for something like 2 years. So if they could get it, so can you!

Checked this morning and my case got TRANSFERRED out of this hell hole of a service center!!! Not sure where we were sent, but it doesn't matter because anything will be quicker then this place!  Beyond excited to see some sort of movement. 5 months 1 week.  Still waiting but it seems like something is starting to happen! :)
