No Teddy, that's not it. I have all notification settings the way I want them so no problem there.
What I want back is when I view the "all my notifications" page I want to be able to check a box and delete those I no longer want 

on the page.
This has always served me as a quick reference and to keep it clean of clutter, yet I was able to save those notification posts

that I figured I need in the future. Now I can't see the forest for the trees and have already 3 pages full.

Please Captain Ewok fix it back like it was with check boxes and delete button.

Yes I have an add blocker, I didn't even think to try without it. It is much better now though.

I wish we could get screenshots of the old site in order to show what we miss/liked about the old site. Sometimes pictures can communicate much better what we want to say.

Unfortunately the elements that I wanted to point out on the older site don't load. Sadness.

 

Broken link alert: when you click on the links in the userinfo left-hand column in threads (Filing location, Filed for, etc.) they are broken or simply link to errors.

 

Also, I mentioned it before but: the problem is with the "Mark as Read" system not working on iPad (and possibly mobiles?) because you can't "hover" on a touch screen. Is there any kind of fix for this?

I think you fixed the right empty space issue (and this time I definitely mean right), the website looks great on a 15" laptop.

Also thank you for getting rid of the pretty much useless Mark Site Read option from its very prominent position on the top right.

I had been thinking who would ever use it, and to what end.

Having two problems:

 

1. How do I prevent the notification pop up window from showing up on my desktop? I have unchecked that option in "notification settings" and saved changes multiple times, but pop up window keeps showing up on notifications.

 

2. I can't logout of VJ. No matter how many times I click on sign out, my account remains open.

1. It's not a site bug, it's a broswer setting. Go to your "Notifications" list in your browser settings and uncheck/disallow notifications from VJ.

Okay, I'm using Firefox and there is an option in the content settings to disallow pop ups, hopefully that does it. Thanks Millefleur.

 

Anyone have any input on the logging out problem?

We changed cookie prefixes to ensure folks can stay logged in. The downside is that it orphaned the old cookie. Two options: 1) delete your browser cookie cache, 2) wait 2 weeks and the cookie will time out. The issue is already fixed once one of the above is done. You can test now by opening a private mode browser window to see you can log in and out easily.
