Trump won’t commit to accepting election results if he loses

Like I said Trump is attacked for not endorsing the results of an election that hasn't happened yet and no one knows for sure how it will be conducted. With the history of election fraud in this country who can blame him? But at the same time it's fine for Hillary to imply if Trump wins it's because the Russians hacked it. It's a double standard.

Hillary is just following protocol.

Patton wouldn't be rolling in his grave. He'd be busy chomping cigars and punching Trump in the face.

Ultimately though it doesn't matter. There is no requirement that the big fat loser concede an election for an election to be valid. He can whine, he can complain, hell, he can even try and sue.. and it won't get him anywhere.

Were you referring to Al Gore?

People have gone to prison for election fraud in past elections. Election officials in New York recently admitted there are problems with people voting more than once and voting when they aren't supposed to. I could go on. The information is out there. I'm not going to hold your hand here.

Jim Kuhnhenn, a journalist who covered the Florida recount in the 2000 presidential election for Knight Ridder newspapers, dismantled the spin from supporters of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump who cited the 2000 recount to defend Trumps refusal at the third presidential debate to say that he would accept the results of the election.

Trump has said the election may be rigged for months, a claim that comes straight from his conspiracy theorist allies. Trumps claim -- which has been called anti-American, dangerous, and a fundamental challenge to a pillar of democracy -- has been bolstered by his surrogates and media allies like CNNs Corey Lewandowski and Fox News Sean Hannity.

On October 19, the night of the third presidential election, Kuhnhenn joined a number of other reporters who said that the comparison between Trumps rigged election claim and former Democratic presidential nominee Al Gore not immediately conceding the 2000 election is inaccurate. Kuhnhenn explained that there is no comparison because the dispute in Florida was about whether votes had been properly counted. Not about fraud:

It must be where I live. If I look up and out the window from my desk, I can see the entirety of our street. We are in a cul-de-sac and are at the bottom of it. There are 16 houses, and there are 22 Trump signs. When I go into town, about 15 minutes from here, I see Trump signs, all the way in, and once I get to town. I have actually yet to see a Hillary sign, anywhere around here. I would have thought at being AR, and home to the Clintons and all that, the place would be littered with them.

Including the trip we made at the end of summer, from AR to WA, through MO, SD, MT, WY and into Canada, and back, the only sign of any type I saw was a bumper sticker with her name on it, and that read Hillary for Jail 2016.

America has a long history of voter fraud. I don't blame Donald for waiting.

When my Husband first got home after transplant, I took him to the local poll, in his wheelchair. After checking him off the list, and getting him into the queue waiting to vote I took him to the machine and went to stand near the door while he did his thing. I got yelled at, I was told I must exercise my right to vote. They were very vocal I must say, but I finnally managed to get them to understand I haven't the right to vote, and why. From all down the line behind me, I heard people calling out:

You could vote if you were a Democrat.

You could vote if you were dead, possibly several times.

You could vote if you were a dog.

The other thing I remember from that first time at the polls, where the signs, and the people standing out in front, and on the street, waving signs for both parties. Where I came from, those had to be off the streets, off the lawns, off the telephone poles or other hoardings days before the election. Amazing. I'll be taking him this year, as he doesn't drive any longer, and I will be interested to see what happens this time.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

basically trump's entire campaign, repeating lies with confidence and allowing the parrots to squawk their butts off.

Same thing here in Wisconsin. I drive all over the state and it is Trump (and Sanders during the primaries) signs and billboards everywhere. Even a few "Hillary for prison" billboards. Maybe there are Hillary supporters out there but I don't see them. Where are they? Edited by jg121783

The fact remains that there are very few proven cases of voter fraud in US history and none of them have ever been on a large enough scale to influence a major election. Parroting what the GOP wants you to believe does not make it true. The US does not have a history of voter fraud, it has a history of made up stories about voter fraud.

Even one case (though there are many) is enough reason for someone to reserve judgement until the election actually happens. It is absurd to demand that someone endorse something that hasn't even happened yet.

my take is that trump supporters are super angry and therefore, super loud. most people voting for hillary aren't enthusiastic about her or the democratic party as a whole right now..so they're just going to quietly cast their votes to keep end times at bay. although i do i remember quite a few hand painted pickups/billboards/signs for romney and mccain and bush and/or anti obummer and mooshell.
