Fiance visa unusual case

So I recently went to Saudi Arabia for religious obligation and while there I met a girl. The girls' family are pretty traditional and i could not speak to the girl without getting permission from her father. I did just that and ended up speaking to her. I begun to like her and I met her at her house several times after the first day and I ended up asking the father if I can marry his daughter and he agreed. She also agreed. I didnt have the money to do the marriage at the time because Marriage was not part of my plan. I told the father that I would file something called fiance visa and I would save up and we will marry once she comes to the USA and he said okay. There are a few problems and here they are:

1. We did not take photos of any sort while I was ther with her.

2. The girl's family is out of touch with technology and as a result she doesnt use or have or even know how to use a computer.

So we have no comminication over the internet, we just communicate over the phone and My question is, is that enough proof of a relationship? Or should I urge the family to start using computers and teach her how to use it and then use internet comminication along with the phone records to proof our relationship? Any help is appreciated!

So basically you have no proof that you met in person. I would suggest buying her a laptop and making sure she can get an internet connection. You would not be able to have an approved I-129F until you can produce photographic evidence of your meeting. Don't bother with videos as USCIS will not load any media into their computers for viewing due to risk of viruses. On your next trip save your boarding passes, takes TONS of pictures of you with both her and her family. Do you have the same or similar religious beliefs? Good luck to you and if you really love each other then do what ever it takes to be together.

Agree with Tyler. One of the requirements for the K-1 visa is that you have met in person in the last 2 years. Without being able to prove that you've met in person, the petition will be denied.

A traditional family will let an unmarried daughter go to the US?

I agree with Boiler, sounds strange for a traditional family to let their daughter go prior to getting married officially.

I would suggest getting officially married (you don't have to attend if you can't afford to, maybe a family member who lives there can represent you) and start her CR1 process. It's longer, but less headache trying to prove stuff.

A word of advise though, try to meet again in person, for the own health of the marriage. you should really know the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with.

You can use your passport stamps, boarding passes, receipts from your time there, and an affidavit from the father stating you met his daughter and he agrees for you to marry.

Your main problem will not be the I-129F petition. You are going to have trouble convincing a CO that you have an ongoing, bona fide relationship at the K-1 visa interview.

More in person meetings and communications between the two of you and her family would be wise before applying for anything.

You can't immigrate to the US on an unconsummated proxy marriage. Both need to be present at the wedding ceremony or have consummated their marriage after the proxy ceremony.

Really? I did not know. It thought it would work since it is a binding, legal marriage. Sorry for the misinformation.

I had a previous K1 approved in a semi similar situation. Evidence of meeting would be your passport stamps, boarding passes, and any credit card receipts from near her house. Also, I am not quite sure how you have been calling, but at least if you call through skype you can get your call records when you log on- something I would recommend. That is good evidence that you can supply about your ongoing relationship. In my case I did not have any pictures together and he did not have or use a computer so all of our communication was via phone calls.

Best of luck brother

Is she muslim?

Are you muslim?

if she is, she has to marry a muslim man

If this is the case, marry in Saudi and do CR 1 as I agree the traditional family will not let her travel alone unmarried

you will then have marriage photos and proof you need

Good luck

Allah yessir

You can marry by proxy but would have to go & consummate the marriage B4 petitioning,

so in that case its better to go get marry & get to know the person a bit more.

Are you both of the same religion? amazing you could not take her photo but her father

okayed her marrying and going so far away so quickly

It is quite difficult for a Saudi national to marry a foreign national within the KSA.

What would be helpful is a statement from her parents in support of your engagement, and eventual marriage in the US.

Maybe they never had an opportunity to take a picture. That is the scenario I was in when I did my K1- we never went anywhere where we would take a picture together. Also, some people do not like their picture taken.
