Hi everyone!

Yesterday (4/23), I just got a RFE for my fiance to provide Intent to Marry within 90 days. We are working on drafting a signed statement letter for this.

My issue is, I had a feeling we would get a RFE, but not for this reason. I was looking through our I-129F last weekend and found different mistakes.

For example, I said that my fiance and I saw each other from Sept 7 - Oct 1 after he got his passport on Sept 27. That's a discrepancy, because he got his passport on June 27, and we were engaged Sept 27... I can't believe I messed it up.

Should I add additional evidence that they didn't ask for to correct other issues?? Has anyone done that before or have any advice??

I don’t know the answer on that question. I believe it’s best to be honest, and explain in a letter your mistake and send it in with additional evidence. I was asked to send an intent to marry letter too. I only sent in a letter from my fiance. Sorry I can’t be more helpful. Maybe someone with more experience can help you with that question

The online updates are inconsistent.  Best thing is to sign up for USPS informed delivery and watch your mail for letters from USCIS.

It really depends on the RFE and your case.  They received my RFE package on April 26th per the website update but the 17th per my USPS priority mail tracker.  Monday May 6th I came home to my approval letter.  It should be any day now that you receive your NOA.

I have not submitted it yet, I just got the signed letter of intent to marry from my fiance, and my goal is to submit next Monday (5/13).

I am experiencing issues with technicalities. For example my fiance moved from Sudan to Uganda due to the civil unrest that has been occurring... we don't know if we should include his move Information with this RFE or not...

On the I-129F we have Sudan, but we want to change his address to Uganda. I believe Kenya is where Ugandan residents have their interviews.

If we can't get his address changed, chances are it will go to Sudan :(

Hey everyone... I'm so frustrated... and a little bit worried. We got a rfe on April 25 and sent it back on April 30. USCIS received it on May 6 and since then nothing... except 3 emails "We are still reviewing your case and there are no update at this time. We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on May 15, 2019"...

Should I be confident?... or does it mean something wrong with our case?

The hardest part of the whole process is being patient for a response. I was worried when I got an RFE too, only because I was positive I sent in everything in the first time. I don’t remember exactly how long after that we got our NOA2 letter. Every step I worried when I had nothing to worry about.

Thank you for your answer. I know that the hardest part of the process is already behind us and we are now close to the end :)
