They never replied to my first email, but then I send them another email and they replied within 24 hours. We are sending out the RFE reply today. Im really sad that we got RFE'd for Okcupid because I will probably be flying to the US next week and a NOA2 in my hands would make me feel more confident to get entry into the states. Im worried that if they see that I got RFE'd they might deny me entry to the states... Not fair that a lot of people who also met on Okcupid.com got approved. I mean I'm happy for them but its really frustrating for me.

You would think that with so many persons meeting on OkCupid they would obviously realize by now that it's not an IMB. It's weird that they don't have a list of these websites since it seems to be a common RFE. Sorry about your setback but it's an easy fix.

As for visiting your fiancé just bring ties to your home country in case immigration asks for it. For eg. Rental agreement, job contract, bank account info etc.

You need to get your case number from NVC to be able to track your case on this site: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

2 weeks from having received your approval, you can start calling NVC for your case number. Congrats btw

Yes, I totally understand you! It's kind of frustrating that they do it randomly. But we are back in the (waiting) game now!

Until today my fiancé hasn't received an answer from our dating website. I'm glad I wrote them two days after he hasn't heard from them back and they answered me the same day. Lol

Let me know how your entry was. And don't forget to bring binding ties (lease contract, employment contract, etc.)!

I'm gonna visit my fiancé for Christmas and I'm already a bit nervous if they will let me in lol.

I guess we shouldn't worry too much. Let's hope we won't have any more troubles besides the RFE.

But I'm wanting to get a handle on the next steps now. My question is about the DS-160 form. When did you fill it out? Was it difficult? What information did you have to provide? If it matters my embassy is Montreal, Canada.

Hey there! I have just finished filling it. Its huge, but nothing scary, just simple questions about you, address, work, education, convictions, etc.

Just a lot of questions, mostly yes or no.

You can do it even now and save for later. And you need a photo as well to complete it.

My petition has finally arrived at my embassy yesterday evening! Now I will wait for their letter to schedule the interview

Thanks My fiancé just send out the RFE with overnight mail, priority express. So they will have it tomorrow and hopefully then we will get approved ASAP. We included an email from Okcupid, a written statement of my fiancé signed and dated, and the terms & conditions from Okcupid.com. This should be enough evidence.

My fiancee is traveling to Beirut tomorrow to pick up packet3. She is then having her medical done before heading back home. Already have all the required paperwork, So we plan on calling the Embassy right after the medical to schedule an interview !! praying

Try emailing PoF, it would be good to have a reply from them. Also a written statement from the petitioner signed and dated. It's good to have this prepared so you can send it out the same or next day and you won't have any delays hopefully. Best of luck Keep us posted!
