K1 Visa Engagement Ring Price

Hello all, first time poster, long time reader. In presenting or providing documents to show proof of relationship, can anyone say if the cost of my K1 fiancé engagement ring matters, do they look for a particular price as being too low?

Plenty of people apply without a ring or before they have a ring (we did). An engagement ring isn't going to be the deciding factor in your petition. I can't imagine they will think any more or less of a petition based on the price of a ring. If you're concerned, just don't include that as evidence.

What matters is that you are free to marry and you have met within the last two years. Having an engagement ring is not a requirement, so I would think that the price of the ring would not be that important.

The whole point of the ring receipt is to help prove intent to marry and the relationship.

It proves that you indeed bought a ring for your engagement.

But like others have said it isn't 100% neccassary.

It's just another piece of evidence you can use.

Price does not matter.

Matters not OP. Even though my then-Fiancee had the engagement/wedding ring I gave her, when I proposed to her, at the time of filing, I did not mention it at all to USCIS.

Same for us. I only want one ring so what others would call and engagement ring is my wedding ring. We are waiting for the wedding and each want one. I'm glad you touched on cultural differences. This is one of several reasons why it isn't important to the embassy. It's also a very personal choice.

The price of a ring, or even if there is one, does not matter one bit.

It would not hurt, having a photo of you in front of the jewelry store, putting a ring on your wife's hand, and the receipt included in your documents.

It would be very secondary evidence, but it would not hurt.

Some people have "no rings".,.,. at all.
