How Long will it take to get a case number at NVC?

Did anyone else get their IV invoice today? I received an email from NVC with the invoice this afternoon , but when I logged in I was still not yet able to pay online . But, I think I remember that I still have to wait a few more days after the invoice is issued before the payment unlocks correct ? Not sure, but I will try again later or maybe call before they close tonight to verify. But at least the invoice was issued . I wasn't expecting it with the 30 day wait period until like Jan 2, but maybe the call I made on Wednesday helped. I talked to a nice agent (and wished him Happy Holidays). He said I should see it this week. Or maybe this is still within the 30 day window. Who knows.

Got our IV invoice today as well, also dated 12/18. Not able to pay yet. I'm assuming it's just like the AOS invoice where it took a couple more days after receiving it before it unlocked.

@andinicoles, did you call NVC to see if they have reviewed your DS-261? It needs to be reviewed before they will issue the IV invoice.

Who from this group has already submitted their documents? Our scan date is 12/17. It would be nice to have people to track progress with and cheer along.

So I didn't have to wait. IV bill was unlocked this evening when I tried again :joy: Just paid. I used this link to make my payment -https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx. Now just waiting on DS-260 form to unlock.

15 days after my ds-261 was submitted I called NVC and had enough luck that rep reviewed it by the phone. After few days I received IV fee invoice and next day it was unlocked.

I called they said there were having some issues with the system, they are working on it and they do not know how long it will take. I received a second IV invoice with same exact info. as the first only difference was the date on the letter, i received that email on Dec 6. i ended up mailing it in on Dec 12 because i just got tired of waiting. The money order was cashed on Dec 18......hoping they will apply it to our case # SOON......this waiting is extremely frustrating to say the least.
