Sorry I meant 30 days to receive.. I'm not even at the document sending in stage wish I was.

Hi TexasLaing2014,

We were approved on October 7, and like you, our case hasn't arrived to the NVC yet. I think it should arrive this week and I am hoping it won't take long to be assigned a case number. All we can do is wait a little longer.

Best luck to you.

My I-130 was approved on the 6th October.

Still not received by NVC anyone know how long on average it normally takes. Is it normally the 60 days they say ?

Mina also came from Nebraska. Check out my timeline and you will see mine took almost two months. Did your status on USCIS say its shipped out? I guess its still in Nebraska.

Hello newcomers to NVC :goofy:

It seems they get bulk shipped over to NVC (or NVC scans them in bulk) either way it's usually 30 days from the time you receive your NOA2 approval - but could be less time than that depending on the date that they bulk ship (which is a mystery).

My suggestion is wait 2 weeks and then start calling every 2-3 days afterward (if you want to avoid the long waits on the phone). Waiting is unfortunately plays a big part in our lives right now and here's hoping they scan you in soon! :content:

We were approved at Nebraska at the end of August and it took two months to get a case number. I saw people approved after us having case numbers before we did, it seems to be luck of the draw which box of new arrivals they open first.

AOS shows paid and DS261 shows complete. Now under IV Fee it has changed from N/A to PAY NOW. Anyone knows how long til IV fee is invoiced?

Yeah it seems they probably got a stack from the different centers and just unfortunately picked yours up last - I'm amazed to hear the many 'off the wall' stories as I do with NVC. I am a stickler for finding patterns and processes, but they just seem to have nothing in order or in place (which kinda makes my little head go crazy).

IV free is directly connected to your DS-261. Even though it shows complete in CEAC you have to wait until it gets checked with NVC - they will give you the 'wait 30 days' spiel. To be honest the reps (actual phone reps) have a little tool that they can bypass the wait time and just approve the DS-261 but you have to get a very nice rep to do that for you ahead of the 30 days scheduled time. (again a lovely luck of the draw case).

Thank you! And I'm not a fan of tea at all, but I'm considering it to help me out, haha. My constant sniffling has now led to a sinus headache, woohoo (*sarcasm*) :jest:

Thanks for the info! I keep trying to find patterns or a rhyme or reason to what goes on during this process, it's too much of a habit to try to make some sense of it where there is none.

Back to waiting again...
