I filed for an expedite for my wife's CR-1 with the NVC, the embassy quickly approved the expedite request but wen i have talked to the NVC they don't see any response from the embassy on their end. Does it usually take more then a few days for the embassy to relay their decision to the NVC ? I was also told by the embassy that the case will not be forwarded until the IV fee shows up as Paid. I guess i just wondering if i should be concerned that the NVC hasn't heard from the Embassy.

May I know the reason for the expedite? We are planning to request for expedite as well. Thanks!

7th month and 7th NVC thread. :(

Today is our one year anniversary since we filed the I-130. We were caught in the backlog at USCIS and now here at the NVC. It seems everyone a month or two before or after us is processing faster. Of course our AOS checklist was a killer that cost 2 more onths and was technically our fault (actually our attorney messed it up by using the wrong income number from my tax return. Seriously. What a waste of $2,000).

AOS checklist scan date 9/23. Hopefully this month. It needs to happen soon before this horrible process does damage to our marriage. My wife has a hard time undrstanding how papers so basic could take so long to be processed. As an American it is embarressing.

Well, hopefully this month.

No Its not a problem, my wife's birth certificate was laminated as well and i had no problems. Make sure you send photocopies with the originals as well and send both AOS and IV documents together. These are the documents you need.

AOS

1) 2013 tax return (required) but recommended to send last three years. If you are sending tax returns than you need to send the W2s as well.

2) About 2 months of pay stubs.

4) PCC (passport clearance certificate)
