I do not know if this has any impact, but there have been a great deal of tornado warnings and floods in Texas this week. I could see some people not being very productive because of it.

1/petitionary letter of intent to marry.

2/Two years meeting requirement: we already send all the documents, we will send them again(pictures, statement, proof of visits...).

Thanks for the report; it's interesting to see what they RFE about ... crazy how you sent the documents for the proof of meeting in person but yet they are asking for it again...hoping for an approval for you next week also!

CSC has been knocking it out of the ballpark this week. TSC just sits on cases - I was afraid this was going to happen after the rerouting of new petitions - cause now they have no pressure anymore, do they? Beginning to wonder if we will ever get our NOA-2.

Now we wrote a new statement with the same picture, same proof of visits, + the beneficiary LOI wich I didnt send the first time.

they asked for the proof of meeting for the period september 2012 to september 2014

Those of you who contacted your "elected representatives" - how did you go about it?

I used a form on my senator's web site that is specifically designed for immigration cases. Presumably he has staff dedicated to immigration issues. No response, though (may be they know I didn't vote for that guy )

If my memory serves me correctly, William faxed his congressman's office for the initial contact. I believe he had to call back and chase them up as he didn't receive a response. I don't know if congressmen have any influence on USCIS the way they apparently used to, but we found sitting doing nothing was worse than doing something and he tried everything. That said, the guy who was appointed to deal with immigration issues was about as useless as a chocolate cigarette, but to his credit, he did make the calls whenever William requested him to do so. The one useful piece of information he was able to get for us was that our case had been passed to an adjudicator. It took another month for them to approve our petition, but he did get an answer we were unable to get from our own efforts.

I think it's appalling that you guys are still waiting.

I'm also afraid it won't be pretty. Stef is betting that the update will be September 0, while I think it will be August 32nd. Just to watch our heads explode.

How are you doing? Hang tough...

FWIW, I contacted all 3 of my federal representatives; my two senators and the congressman for the district in which I live. The two senators' offices were as useless as deer guts on a door knob and one of them even DEFENDED the USCIS! I reminded her that it was her responsibility to fight for her constituency, not for a government entity. She claimed that she WAS trying to help me. What a twit. So I ended the call rather quickly and wrote a complaint letter a short time thereafter. Anyway, I'm getting off topic. The point I am trying to make is that it was ultimately my local congressman's office that was willing and able to do anything for me at all. I wouldn't have expected that, but that is indeed the way it worked out for me. So the moral to my story is TRY ALL 3 so that you can find the best one for you. You should understand that it's kind of a crapshoot. By contrast, another VJer in Houston contacted their local rep, and that rep was completely unhelpful. She has the same two senators as I do, so they would have been equally unhelpful. The message here is: hope that you can find at least one office that is willing to help you. If not, you'll be out of luck WRT this path, as the Houston VJer was, unfortunately.

As for how I went about contacting them, initially I wrote letters. I continued to send them weekly until I received a response. After two weeks I began calling their offices. The key part of that was that when I called, both offices of the senators asked if I had already written a letter. If I hadn't they would have asked that I do that first prior to calling. So keep that in mind. Fire off a letter ASAP, then call just a few days later and see what kind of traction you can get.
