Still not approved.... any other Sep filers left there ? I checked the case number around mine, 53 K1 visa ,19 left unapproved.... and I am one of them.... : (

8 more received cases on 29th, i m one of them, we are the same.

The fiance is visiting right now - and we are so thankful to have the time to be together - at this point are just praying the NOA2 arrives before he has to go back to Ireland in June.

No. I really don't think it has anything to do with you, or anyone else at TSC. If you look around at any TSC timelines, save for a few that got lucky and slipped through, everyone is waiting well beyond what could be deemed even remotely near reasonable wait times. If that were the case, CSC would have far more filers sitting around for months before getting an approval. I personally don't buy into this background check story as a reason for delays. It would need to be extreme and exceptional circumstances to cause significant delays.

Bottom line is that it's taking long because the case load distribution has been badly managed and imbalanced and the problem left to spiral out of control for so long that they can't even address it.

I also don't accept the background check thing as a significant reason for the delays at the TSC. Granted, there are likely exceptions, I mean I'm sure that there are some folk whose background checks take longer, but they must be relatively low in number, quite low I'd say, by comparison to the overall number of I-129F filers. And when many folk wait and wait and wait and wait in the TSC while CSC filers speed through to the finish line... meh ... background checks aren't playing a significant part WRT the delay.

There is the assertion that the relative out-of-order of approvals within the same service center are also attributable to background checks, but in this context I tend to go more with the notion that some adjudicators are faster than others and that adjudicators are - in the end - real life people who get sick and take vacations from time to time.

Just my $.02. FWIW. YMMV.

9/8/14 - I129F petition sent to the USCIS lockbox via USPS
9/11/14 - Petition received @ USCIS lockbox
9/11/14 - NOA1 Email and text message received
9/15/14 - NOA1 Official notice date
9/18/14 - NOA1 hard copy received
12/9/14 - "Updated" likely because of website repairs, like many of us received
4/20/15 - NOA2 text and email (221 days)

4/29/15 - Sent to the NVC (9 days)

5/8/15 - Arrived at the NVC (9 days)

5/13/15 - Left the NVC (5 days)

5/15/15 - Electronic version arrived at the embassy (2 days)

5/20/15 - Paper copy arrived at the embassy (7 days)

6/4/15 - Status changed to AP (which meant that we could schedule the interview)

6/16/15 - Medical

6/17/15 - K1 APPROVED!!!!

Well, I hope that TSC gets well soon. I also wish that I got 6 month vacations from time to time. Lucky bastards... :(

Also, background checks can't be any part of the reason. I mean, CSC is weeks away from giving out NOA2'S at the same time as NOA1's. Sigh.
