I just spoke with cheery "Agent Gina" at the NVC. Rang at 9:15, and it picked up on the first ring. Gina picked up at 9:25 - only 10 minutes!!! It's a record!

I found out that our IV and AOS packets, which were delivered on April 10th, were scanned into their system on April 15th (tax day is good for something, I guess!). Wonder if they are going to kick back my AOS packet for 2013 Taxes. I filed on April 14th, but they are paper tax returns - not electronic, so they won't even be touched until May. No way to get a transcript - so I'll have to send the 110 page tax return in, I fear.

Cheery Gina told me that it would take about 3 weeks from date of receipt (April 10) for review.

I'm hoping for case complete before the end of April so that my partner gets into the June interview scheduling!

Gina confirmed my phone number (do they have Caller ID???) and email addresses. She was very pleasant.

I almost hoped I would get Joy so that I could try to sweet talk her into a good mood.

I see that your DS-260 was available almost immediately after paying IV Fees. I paid mine last Saturday and I'm still waiting... Impatiently might I add.

My wife has talked to Gina on a couple of occasions. She seems to be another one of the pleasant people. She told us to call back next week for a case #, as others like Joy(ful), always states "30 business days". Good luck on your reviewing, I think it will be sooner than that .

my IV payment posted, last night. if I submit my DS-260 this weekend, and overnight the civil documents on Monday, do you guys think I could get a June interview, or is that unrealistic?

I don't know...they seem to be getting behind again. My Mum's DS-260 was submitted approx. 3 weeks ago and the civil documents 2 weeks ago and neither have been reviewed yet. I was hoping for at least approval of the documents and optimistically a case complete between this and next week, but there still hasn't been any movement. Its a guessing game with the NVC.

Checklist for passport police clearance form from India for my husband who is an Indian passport holder. He now has to go to India to get this. I ask led the damn NVC if he can get a case complete and present this passport police clearance at the interview in London embassy (when he gets an interview date) they said no that the passport police clearance is required document at NVC for the case to move forward. The NVC has a letter from the district police commissioners office already with his file, but they say that's not enough. So my husband has to go to India he made appoint at the Indian passport office in India on May 13, to get this done.

The damn NVC doesn't care. I have jo more hope my husband will be here for the birth if our child. I am very bitter toward everyone. I am not able to travel because of my pregnancy. I am depressed and upset and devasted.

You are not alone. My husband missed the birth of our first child and did not get to meet him until he was 2 months old. We facetimed through my entire labor, and it wasn't the same, but it was something. Now, my son is almost 7 months old and we're hoping for a June interview. Hang in there. It will get better.

If my spouse has been working only since past 7 months, does the Current Annual Income be :

1. Total income(7 months) as stated in IRS Tax return or
2. Total income(12 months) as stated in the employment letter

Hey guys. So...got my case number. It was entered on April 16th. I was told that I have to wait a week for my invoice number. Is that normal?

I was told that I should get it in a week. She verified my email. I am SO glad that there is a movement.

Good morning!

So I know everyone or should say majority have had bad experience with immigration lawyers. Well, I was panicking about the AOS packet, so I wanted to confirm that I doing it right. I scheduled an appointment with IL for this morning at 9am. I get there and waiting. Turns out the attorney "didn't put my appointment on her calendar and forgot I was coming" #######? And they offered to meet with someone else, supposedly he is a IL too. I asked how much they charge to fill an AOS and he said $200 per hour. Psh, I already filled everything out, but wasn't sure of something's on the form.

Anyway, can someone please confirm this for me.

I was under the assumption that I can two joint sponsors,but he said he recommends to use one.

My sister is my joint sponsor and she makes 26,000 a year. At first he told me that I have to check poverty line for 3 people ( myself, my immigrant husband, and my sister) and then he said he misspoke and only count my sister and my husband. So, what is the truth? My sister is single, so does she only count herself and my husband when she's looking at the poverty line?

FYI: I love VJ and everyone here. We honestly, don't need IL, I felt like I knew more than him.

I asked what's a good way to check on my case (I knew the answer,but wanted to see what he will say) he goes, just check NVC website, they are good at keeping it updated and they are good about emailing too, #######?

Anyway, that's all for now. I kinda want to call NVC and see if they have a case number for me, but I am afraid they will give me the 30 days #######.

i have a question please help , the form i-864 part 5 subsection 6 they ask about previous co-sponsored person, i did to my brother,wife and dauther ,but they are not resident yet and the form says "who are now lawful permanent resident " ,do i have to put them or not . if i put them i still will be below the properly line ,but i dont wants to be returned my papers for check list.
