Today is ~30 days since NOA2 adn still no dice with NVC.

Why would it take 30 days plus to shuffle file from one government facility to the other?

Is this due to the sequestering thingie?

It is a funny thing because i see some files from CSC getting sent immediately to NVC and pushed to the consulate while others like yours and mine are no where to be found. You must have some very thick skin to get through this process, i know if i didnt i would have lost it already.

That can't be possible! I think it's time to seek help through your congressional office. I used to be in the U.S. Army and I know how those folks act quickly when they receive a call from a congressional office. They would jump up fast to get things moving.

I learned today that the I-130 left the local office yesterday and is headed to NVC.

I'll post details in my monthly I-130 thread.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Seems NVC processing to case number is taking about 4 weeks.

We received NOA2 28th March, not sure when NVC received the case (didn't know where to find that info) but we since received case notification from NVC on 25th April. the invoices quickly followed (next day) which we paid via our immigration lawyer same day and now they are working on submitting the AOS and IV packages on our behalf.

One thing I did learn is that NVC will accept copies of documentation (according to our lawyer) but have read here that originals were needed by NVC.....just thought I'd mention it.

Be patient everyone. I was feeling the same way. And we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

It took us at least 1 month to get our case number and another 2+ weeks to pay the fees. Our NOA2 date was March 8 & it's now April 27!

We are now just finally able to submit AOS & IV packages. So your time will come too! Everything will be alright! Good luck! :)

I am not a fan of simply 'sending stuff out'.

Always, I want to press the flesh and get a Human actively engaged with me.

I did that, with my Congressman's office, using the telephone.

Sure, I sent out a signed release form via fax and email, and a written description of the problem via fax and email but...

My ILS human started the inquiry for me 1 day after they had all from me. IMO, using a telephone is useful. If you are not close to a telephone, I suggest you revisit paid plans with Skype, purchase a 3 month prepaid package plan nowish.

Using a telephone is useful.

I did followup via telephone every two days with my ILS human. The turn-around varied - from 3 days to 15 days, depending on what was being asked at the moment. In the end, a 'congressional ' tag was added to the casefile, so it got some other attention during the adjudication process. My case is a bit different, compared to most, but in the end it's supposed to be a 'simple' I-130, chasing an IR-1 visa for my wife.

Using a telephone is useful. I was on the phone within 2 minutes after sending out the release form and written explanation, talking with the ILS human, same day. We kept in contact for about 3 months, not daily, but usually via telephone and email.

I did followup via telephone every two days with my ILS human for the three 'issues' she ran down for me. The turn-around varied - from 3 days to 15 days, depending on what was being asked at the moment. In the end, a 'congressional ' tag was added to the casefile, so it got some other attention during the adjudication process.
