*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic involves comparative processing times. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I have to tell you, if the service center you are assigned to is a big problem for you, you are going to have a lot more problems. The VISA is just the beginning. The petition is not even the beginning of the beginning.

Chill out. You have a long way to go and if you think a few weeks difference in the I-129f will make any difference down the road...you are imagining things.

What WILL make a difference is if you pine away over useless stuff like the ever changing timeline and not prepare for your fiancee's new life here.

The petition is done...look ahead.

:thumbs:Look toward the final goal, You will make it.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

You just received NOA1 and you are already unhappy? This is going to be a very long miserable process for you if you are complaining at this point. Sit back, take a chill pill and stop studying the guides and comparing your case to others or you will not survive this process. There are millions of visas applied for and granted in the US every year, considering the number of petitions the USCIS has to review on any given day, I don;t think the wait is all too bad. It is what it is, I shake my head every time I see someone on this site having a hissy fit over processing times when they are literally in the first week of processing no0pb.gif

It goes in cycles. In a few months California may be the fast one again.

This is true. When we went through, we were very jealous of the CSC people. They were getting approved months before VSCs with same NOA1 date.

While I don't disagree, it's one thing to complain due to being impatient. However, it is another thing to be concerned about your loved one needing immediate medical attention. This process does put our lives on hold. If one is complaining merely because they can't stand being away from their loved one, they will need to get over it as that IS what it is. Judging by the OP, it seems they were just reaching out for any possible options given the unique circumstances they were put in. If the only option is to wait and take care of a medical situation from afar, so be it. Why the need to patronize while avoiding the real concern here?

Receive the NOA1 today. Guess what? We got California Service Center.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Pissed off. My fiance needs medical treatment and we get the worst service center.

Can a put in a request to route through Vermont?

Most people who are going through vermont have been having a 7+ month wait and CSC were having a 3+ month wait.... Sure from what I've been reading things may have adjusted, but still....

You just need to have patience... they will get to it when they get to it.

Cross your fingers and hope for the best.

And no you can't request Vermount

I filed my I130 last year March 2012 actually it was the end of March 2012 and it was approved in 100 days and Vermont was taking for ever at that time so maybe with any luck it is the time of year for California to speed up and you will be glad you are there. Welcome to the Journey hope it is a speedy one for you.

Or in our case, we originally got VSC, and then two weeks later they sent us to CSC to balance the workload...better to spend your time on things you can affect, like getting ready for the enxt steps

As far as i know once they received the I-129f in TX it will be routed to the service center where your state is assigned.

CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER if you are in one of these states:

AK, AZ, CA, CO, GU, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, MI, MN, MO, MP, MT, NE, NV, ND, OH, OR, SD, UT, WA, WI, or WY

VERMONT SERVICE CENTER if you are in one of these states:

AL, AR, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MS, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OK, PA, PR, RI, SC, TN, TX, VT, VA, VI, or WV

It may also change if these service centers will transfer it to another service center like NSC or TSC.

Our US address was Texas and our application was sent to CSC not so sure about this data being always the case.

And_Sam, OMG, just looked at your timeline for ROC. Cannot believe that you are still waiting and it has been over a year. You should look at filing for citizenship as your ROC is taking sooo long.

Maybe they have gonr through this "cycles" before but not anymore....

Two basic and confirmed difference since last august : Dream Act and DACA.

There a re plenty of charts and trending reports from USCIS on thid forum so you can search.

These illigals get there visa in 3months now and our waiting time has gone upto 9months. These application are process in original state.
