Evidence got returned.

Hello Everyone.

We just sent in our forms to the Texas Centre to which we got a response today saying they've received it and it's under process.

However some of the evidence was sent back due to 'Evidence was not in a format that can be put into the file folder'.

Does that mean the evidence we sent was no valid and that I shouldn't bring it with me?

Or that they used it, viewed it and sent it back.

The evidence was 8 photos (5x7 inches estimated.) and CD of 'How we met and progressed through our relationship' video. (A video I designed sweetly for my Fiancée)

They are sending back the CD. USCIS does not allow digital/electronic evidence (i.e CDs, DVDs, Flash Drives, etc)

blush.gif Not really sure why the sent the pictures back.

Maybe they will RFE you for them later? I don't it doesn't make sense, but when it comes to USCIS, many things don't make sense sometimes headbonk.gif

How were the photos placed into the file you sent? If they are 5" X 7" and loose then they sent them back because they would not fit in the top two hole file folder they use. Keep the photos and be ready to submit them again but this time tape them to an 8.5" X 11" piece of paper or a some other holding device that gets them to 8.5 " X 11".

Good luck,

Dave

What were the photos of? Our photos were loose. Could just be either you sent inappropriate photos, or they were in the same packet as the CD so they just sent them back together.

Don't stress about it.

The photo's were of us both in the US and also in Guernsey, some at a music festival, others by the ocean, at my college graduation and with family. They weren't attached to a piece of paper, they were loose. Should I just go ahead and attach them to a standard piece of white printing paper and resubmit/mail them, or just wait until they ask for photographically evidence?

Thanks for all your helpful comments xx

I've sent at least 10 4x6 photos and a couple of 5x7 on a envelope but I didn't get them back (not that I'm complaining)

Good luck!

Just sit tight and see if you get an RFE then act according to that, there's nothing you can really do in the mean time.

But as Vanessa said, don't stress, worst that would happen is an RFE which will add a few weeks to the process good.gif

Good Luck with your journeykicking.gif

Don't send anything without being asked for it. Considering you are from a low fraud country, there is a good chance you won't get an RFE for them and can just bring them to interview.

We sent like 10 lose photos, and haven't got them back, no RFE yet (it's been almost 6 months), so...

We sent 45 photos size 4x6 and also a dvd of our marriage . Although i later realized that i should not have sent the dvd. but they did not returned back the photos nor the dvd. .and we put the photos inside an envelope and also the dvd inside another envelope. but i think maybe the person handling your petition think is of no use but am sure he will still ask for the photos again. so get ready to send the again soon.
