POE Review: Atlanta
Event Description
Entry Date : 2012-04-23
Embassy Review : I had a wonderful experience at the POE. I was first on a regular visitors line, but I noticed there were screens over some of those, that specifically said they were for K - Packet holders. So, I let the lady who was organizing the lines know I had a K-Packet and she moved me to one of those other lines.

I was called right away to the counter, and I handed my passport to the officer. I expected to be taken to a different area for the processing, but we did it all there.

I handed the DO NOT OPEN envelope. I was only asked a couple of questions, such as: How did you two meet? and When are you getting married? ...but more in a conversational type of way... not as a scrutiny.

Officer Stephens went through the papers (even said we look really cute together hehehe), gave me back my passport with the I-94, told me I should get married before the date on the I-94.. and sent me off my way to happiness!

Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
