Comments : First 5+ months of waiting were really nerve wracking, but once our NOA2 was there, everything went so fast! I would even say too fast, since there were moments that we got seriously worried that we don't have enough time to get ready for the next step...

Comments : Once again I had a very pleasant and smooth experience with it. Overall it took me two months and a day to receive my EAD from the moment I applied for it.
My main comment here would be to encourage future applicants not to rush and try to make a name change before EAD arrives, cause in some cases it works, in most - it doesn't. The safer way to go with it is to wait till EAD is in your hands and only then go to Social Security Office requesting to do a name change. They never reject these requests at this point.

Comments : I highly encourage all AOS applicants to simultaneously apply for an Advance Parole, given it's free (if filed in conjunction with AOS application), doesn't require too much effort - I in fact had to leave several blank spaces in it, since I had no particular plans to travel and therefore couldn't provide them with specific dates - and you end up receiving a "combo card" that serves both as an EAD and AP at the same time.

Consulate Review: Armenia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 15, 2012
Embassy Review : I have had about 10 Visa interviews at Yerevan Consulate before, and trust me this one was the best.

The Consular Officer and staff were all very friendly and supportive.

After one of their employees double checked that I have all the necessary documents with me (DS Forms, Police Certificate, Birth Certificate (with a copy), Passport Copy, Financial documents and proof of relationship, he kindly organized those, not picking at minor details and mismatches in all the forms, he sent me to wait for my turn in the waiting area.

The Consular Officer was absolutely awesome. He was friendly and supportive - only asked me about how I met Jason (my fiance), how we managed to communicate all throughout the two years of separation (taking a note of the fact that we met twice during these years), and what are our plans for future(taking a note of the wedding date, location).

Right after this communication the guy just gave me a friendly smile, and told me that he approves of my Visa now, and I will receive a phone call shortly to come pick up my passport. He even did not wait for me to ask about when this may happen, but added that this will be happening in two to three weeks from today:-)

Shortly speaking everything went so well that I would just encourage everyone applying for K1 Visa to stop worrying and just make sure they have all documents that they can think of as being useful.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
