Hi Guys,

I know many of you are in the same boat as I am. I submitted my paperwork and it was received on December 20, 2011. On December 28, 2011 I guess it was sent off to Vermont to the center for processing. I have been following up frequently but not enough to drive myself crazy. Today I called the 1-800-375-5283 number and they told me that Vermont was behind, to be exact they said they were processing June 2011. What is up with that? The last time I called they told me I had to wait 5 months and now they told me I have to wait another 6 months? I am almost crying out of frustration. Can someone PLEASE shed some light on this.

Thank you,

Janette

That cannot be possible, because we filed in September 2011... our petition got sent to Vermont..and I'm already in the US. I'm afraid you were victim of a VERY uninformed CSR. Apparently, there is some delay, but they just bluntly gave you wrong information... not uncommon.

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between April 25, 2012 and May 2, 2012*. ... I took this info from your Timeline here. While these are estimated dates, they will help you have a more tangible idea of WHEN you should be expecting your NOA2.

There's nothing you can do, other than be patient. Do not waste your tears rose.gif You will get it soon and when you least expect it!

My petition was received on November 22nd 2011.

51 I-129's were received that day at VSC.

4 were instantly rejected for unsigned forms, no check etc

14 are still at initial review (including mine)

11 have received RFE

22 have been approved, the first of these was on February 22nd 2012.

Also 3 have been approved today so they are getting there, just not fast enough

Yes I am a sad individual to know all this

Edit - lots of TPS applications received that day too if that means anything

We are also November 2011 Filer! Don't worry it's not like what they told you, that doesn't make sense at all. My friend who filed in July she is now in US. Be positive and you'll get your approval very very soon. I'm pretty sure!

You are not behind. They are 1/2 way through December now... and since you are late December, it should be up in a couple weeks. See this link... http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=2&option=2&sortby=2

Checked my status on the USCIS site and noted those with the same received date that were either side of my receipt number.

What can I say? I had a spare 5 minutes

Don't drive yourself crazy like I did looking at other people's timelines. They are just a guide. If you dont hear anything by the 6th month, put in a service request. And then call every week after that. Hopefully it will not be that long. Good luck to all of you!
