Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 16, 2008
Embassy Review : I arrived at the embassy at about 8.10am for my 9am appointment, the line to go through security was pretty long but I got inside by about 8.40. I waited until 10.30 to get called up to the first window. That was all over pretty quickly, I gave her my documents, paid my fee and then sat down and waited for my number to be called again. At about 11.30 my number got called up, I was asked how we met, he asked to see my ring, asked about how my partner proposed to me, where he works and how long he had worked there and that was it! He didn't want to see anything else despite my carrying lots of heavy stuff with me. In the end it was very painless.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
