an oldie but a goodie!

We first met in the Detroit Airport - he flew up from Atlanta and I drove over from Canada to pick him up. We drove back into Canada for a great 4 day visit before I drove him back to the airport.

Well I am in New Brunswick, Canada; Ken is in Maine, USA (Mid-Coast)

So we chose, Bangor, Maine. He didn't have a p/p yet and I did. We stayed at the Best Western in Bangor; it as a fabulous week and we talk and laugh about it often! Memories - they have a great jacuzzi!

We met in California at the Elementary school that we went to together. We were in the same 5th grade class and I had a huge crush on him back then. Even at age 10 I thought English accents were dead sexy! :P

02-23-2018: Date on Biometrics Appointment Letter (Biometrics Appointment at Jacksonville ASC on March 13, 10:00 a.m.)

03-08-2018: Biometrics complete

04-05-2018: Case status updated - Interview Scheduled on May 10, 2018, 10:15 a.m. :D

05-10-2018: Citizenship Interview - Passed English and Civics Tests, Recommended for Approval! :D 

06-19-2018: Received email and text notification: Naturalization Ceremony Scheduled; waited for letter to be uploaded on online account - it has been set on Wednesday, July 25, 3:00 p.m.

07-25-2018: I am now a U.S. Citizen!

My first relationship, we met outside the U.S. My family claimed to me that it was scary/stressful for them that I was going overseas to meet someone they thought of as a 'stranger' and that they were worried I would end up in a bad situation.

Second time around (current relationship), we met in the U.S. instead. You know what? They had the same fears either way.

I was never bothered by either.

My hubby and I met in Abuja, Nigeria. I was headed home after taking a class that was being held in Nigeria. We kept in touch through facebook, email and phone calls. Our next meeting was in Lagos, Nigeria, where we said our vows... :thumbs:

We met in London. My first by-myself international trip. I was out there to see Julie Andrews. Met him in the hotel bar after spilling beer all over myself I was so nervous. He was so hot!!!
