What Visa should I pursue

I met a lady online from the Philippines. After a few months I went to visit her for two weeks and we enjoyed each other’s company. I just got divorced about three years ago and don’t want to jump into something to soon just to get her here to visit. She live with her sister and her husband and has a job but no money. Reading here it sounds like a visitor visa she would have no chance of getting. 😞 I would like to pay for her to come here to build the relationship and make sure she likes the area and I also plan on going back there in December. I would like to start process of getting her a permanent visa or green card but know that takes forever and I would like the relationship to grow in the meantime. Suggestions?

Other than a tourist visa for a leisure visit, there's no other types of visa for her to check out the area. A fiancee visa is not for that purpose for sure.

Maybe F-1 (student visa) could work? If you'd be willing to pay for that. Maybe she could find some language school or something like that in your area.

Take you time, no rush, visit her a few more times, see if you can spend some serious time over there.

Tourist visa, as mentioned, probably not going to happen. Not impossible, but unlikely.

 

K-1 visa is taking about 8-10 months it seems right now for entire process. The 90 days to marry is only after they enter the US on it. So you would technically, if you submitted today have that time to build a relationship. If you're unsure right now, then just wait and continue to talk and get to know eachother before rushing into it.

Spend more time in the Philippines and get to know her that way, since there is almost 0 chance she will get a tourist visa.

 

It's going to be either K1 or Cr1 when you're ready.

 

If I were you I wouldn't pay for her college and student visa like some suggest - you will spend a good 30,000$ to 50,000$ and she can just walk of anytime with free US education. Doubt she'd return the loan if things between you don't work out.

Filipinos have a difficult time getting a B2 visa, and there's a reason for it. Many young single women are known to disappear once they get to the US (large Phil support network in Calif). Take your time, get to know here in the Phil or a third country. Do not rush this.

I absolutely agree with @Boiler  Spend time together, don't rush things.  Since a visitor visa is very unlikely, your time together will have to be outside the US for now.

Yes, we get it. You aren't at the level of getting married yet. but spending extended amounts of time together under the same roof would be ideal to see how things progress. This is how a lot of relationship work.

 

Unfortunately, when you are dealing with someone from another country, the capability and/or availability of them coming to the US for long periods of time is sacrificed. As mentioned, the Philippines is one of those countries where it is nearly impossible for a young Filipina with a US boyfriend to obtain a visitor visa. Since there are no visas for girlfriends, the options for your relationship would be fiance or spouse visa. The other options for her would be work or student visa, however, each of those are either difficult to obtain or requires a lot of money (student visa requires her to show that she has the money to pay for her tuition which could be tens of thousands of dollars).

 

Best to make trips to see her when you can.

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I will be seeing more of the Philippines. It’s just cheaper and easier on my body to fly her back and forth 😉

If expense and wear and tear on your body is a concern, then an LDR is not for you

Could she come to Mexico easily?  It might be cheaper and easier to meet there.  I am asking those knowledgeable about visas that Phillipinos can get as much as the OP.
