Hi everybody

please I want your help or advice

we got approved on December 2nd after 175 days of waiting, we were so happy and my fiancee started to get ready for the wedding, the apartment, the new car, etc... and we arranged for our wedding to be on march 29th. all the people around us said that everything now would move as fast as a lightning. in the beginning they said we have to wait for 2 weeks then we should start call NVC to inquire about our case, but everything will be OK.

on December 5th USCIS informed us that they sent our case to NVC, couples of days later we received the hard copy of the approval ((everything was moving smoothly)).

we started to call them after 2 weeks and we noticed that the other cases of the same batch started to get their cases done. my fiancee asked me to be patient and it will be a matter of couples of days and we will get it.

today it's been for 33 days, all the times we called them, NVC employees told us to wait for 30 days.

my fiancee sent an email to them to inquire about the case and when we asked when would be the response they said after one month!!!! (I thought they were kidding but they were not).

we are so lost and delirious now, all the people of the same date of approval or the people after us by 10 days got their cases done.

USCIS said they sent the file

NVC has said they didn't receive it.

what should we do????

December 5 is a tough date to get the NOA2 (I assume that is what you mean by 'approval')

People start taking vacation days, the number of petitions stay the same, but the number of workers decrease in both NVC and USCIS as the holidays approach. It can take up to 60 days for USCIS to send the petition to NVC.

keep calling, but stay sane and be patient.

good luck

USCIS
August 12, 2008 - petition sent
August 16, 2008 - NOA-1
February 10, 2009 - NOA-2
178 DAYS FROM NOA-1

NVC
February 13, 2009 - NVC case number assigned
March 12, 2009 - Case Complete
25 DAY TRIP THROUGH NVC

Medical
May 4, 2009

Interview
May, 26, 2009

POE - June 20, 2009 Toronto - Atlanta, GA

Removal of Conditions
Filed - April 14, 2011
Biometrics - June 2, 2011 (early)
Approval - November 9, 2011
209 DAY TRIP TO REMOVE CONDITIONS

Citizenship

April 29, 2013 - NOA1 for petition received

September 10, 2013 Interview - decision could not be made.

April 15, 2014 APPROVED. Wait for oath ceremony

Waited...

September 29, 2015 - sent letter to senator.

this is true, it was holidays season, but all people we know who got approved at same time their cases have been proceeded

it's unfair

its not fair or unfair

its the process.

no one said this process was easy, no one said you would enjoy this ride

Sorry this is happening to you, I have been waiting since April 2013 for my naturalization to go through. It's not fair or unfair that people waited half that time, its just the process

good luck

Hi guys,

I am so sorry again to hear about your situation. Have you read the post about others applications being transfered to National Record Center by mistake? I hope this is not a case for you but it doesn't hurt to check.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you :)

That's why you shouldn't make solid plans until visa is on-hand.

Well, be patient.

And start to read on tge administrative processing forum, to read a lot story that many people are put under ap after be approved at the consulate.

I dont want be pesimiste, but country like Turkey get long ap , so you need be patient.

I was approved in my interview at the consulat but i am 9 months in ap and who knows when it will finish.

So relax, and start to learn about administrative processing after interview, and pray that your case doesnt go through ap after interview.

Hi :) There are many more filers then those who use VJ, so I'm sure you're not the only ones still waiting for NVC :)

I'm pretty sure that's not his case, as all of those people were from CSC (or transferred to CSC) :)

Anyways, I hope your case reaches NVC soon, now that the holidays are over :star:

When they say 30 days, they mean 30 business days, not counting holidays. Its a tough time of year, now that we are into the new year wish you good luck.

I had the same problem a few years ago. It eventually worked out, so i know your frsutration

yes I'm with you about the working days and not to include the holidays

but why all the people of VisaJourney from the same date got their cases done???

it's huge question mark!!!

This will not help. USCIS is not answerable to them, or anyone else actually, and they can only find out what you can find out yourselves.

Our case was "lost" as well. We were actually in AP at NVC on our K1, for almost 2 months. All of the people we were following along with were already gone and interviewed and we were still at NVC.

Never, ever, make any firm plans of any kind.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
