Consulate Review: Bulgaria
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 10, 2015
Embassy Review : I had my interview on January 8th at 2:30 pm. I went there around 2 and the guards let me in right away. When I went to the consular section there was one more fiance visa and a few green card interviews. I was the last one so I had to wait for a while. First I paid the fee - $265, then a guy called me to take my documents and put them in the pink folder with our approved I-129f. The documents I had were: DS-160 confirmation, passport, 1 picture, birth certificate, court certificate, marital status certificate (+copies and translations), medical exam results, and form I-134 (he didn't ask for any supporting documents for this, which i found strange, but anyways~). All the translations I made myself He didn't ask me any questions, just gave me the DHL form to fill my address. Oh, and he took our photo album too. Next step was taking my fingerprints, which is every time a whole ritual for me with my very dry hands in the very cold weather, but after lots and lots of tries they managed to get something and i was ready for the actual interview. The lady that interviewed me was the vice consul (i found out later) and she was very nice. The only issue about our relationship is that we only met a few months ago and then things happened really quickly, so she asked a few questions about that, but i had a lot of evidence prepared, so all was good. The questions, as far as i can remember were:
How did we meet?
What is he working?
How old am I? How old is he?
Have me met again after I left the US in September?
How many times have I been to US?
How did we communicate the past months? (she took a quick look at our skype chat logs)
Where are we going to get married?
Have I met his parents?
What do my parents think about this?
What do I love about my fiance?

At the end she said: "Everything looks good, go live your life and get married" :D :D I left the embassy around 4 pm. Now I'm just waiting for my passport with the visa in the mail
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Minneapolis/St Paul
Event Description
Entry Date : 2015-01-26
Embassy Review : Point of entry was really easy. The first officer took my fingerprints, photo and asked me why am I visiting (something like that xD) and when I said "To marry my fiance" he send me to a separate room where I had to wait a little bit for another officer, who asked me a few questions, mostly paperwork related. It took about 20 minutes, including the waiting. Both officers were friendly and they were joking with me all the time.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
