  1. Filing an I 130 is to obtain residency so the very opposite of having residency.
  2. New residents are usually allowed a certain period to drive on their Home license before needing a US license, varies by State.
  3. Finland to close border with Russia for two weeks, prime minister announces – Europe live https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2023/nov/28/geert-wilders-netherlands-government-nato-migration-europe-latest-news Is this Trump in disguise.
  4. If it has yet to be approved it will show refused.
  5. If she wants to or needs to work then you chose the wrong route. You have to marry before you can file anything and then it will be 8 months? before she is work/volunteer authorised.
  6. You can file an I 130 to obtain an Ir5 so they can immigrate. If they then decide not to stay and surrender their GC, file an I 407, it seems to help with any subsequent B application.
  7. Presumably he only has a British Passport but if he has another and has used his British Passport for US immigration I would stick with that. The Airline will want to make sure he has documents to enter the US so I doubt you will be able to check in on line. When you get back to the US it is Immigration that will check his documents and let him in.
  8. Is your Mother a USC? Ahh now I see she is not, she needs to naturalise before she can sponsor her Parents to immigrate and save up for their Healthcare.
  9. Not seen that, did they say anything else, do you have any inkling what they could be referring to.
  10. It is not really the Laws, there are no shortage of laws, it is how they are enacted, you can have the best Laws passed (not going to happen) but if they are implemented badly it matters not a jot. I 751 seems pointless, I can count the number of failed caes I have seen on one hand. Logically the thing would be to do away with it. I am not sure if that is legally possible, now they could just make it an automatic process and have it done in a week.
  11. Lawyers make mistakes. NGOs make even bigger ones. Just be methodical, and then double check everything. I have helped friends, explained the whys, the biggest thing I had to get over is not to overthink it.
  12. At least you have evidence you sent something.
  13. As others have said you can certainly try but I would not get my hopes up.
  14. You can file new I 485s, and apply for EAD and AP.
  15. We simply do not have the information and I seriously doubt NATO forces will be involved. I see no one interested, Russia has managed the casualties by focussing on recruiting from their minority areas, not sure if this will eventually backfire.
  16. I was asked for a recent photo, normally London is pretty simple. I self sponsored so I did have to deal with the I 134.
  17. But that is just part of the process, I know CDJ has loooong waits and Hungary will most likely be quicker. None of us are prescient, well if I was I would be doing the Lottery or heading for Las Vegas, so my guess is 18 months for simple cases at 'normal' Consulates up to 24 months elsewhere.
  18. I am not sure they have to, and I see no desire to, much more politically acceptable to be the quartermaster. I mentioned France more as a guide to how long this can last and obviously the casualties there were many factors higher. Obviously there have been significant losses, most of the coverage has been of Russian losses but defies logic to think that Ukranian lossed have not been significant. From a practical perspective it is much cheaper to resupply, I suppose that has a comparability with the ME as Iran causes a lot of issues without seriously impacting its economy. I have yet to watch yesterdays, I am sure it is excellent and covers this far better than I can.
  19. Ukraine has the same sort of population as France did in 1914. I think they are different in that I can envisage a solution in Ukraine, political not military, but cannot in ME.
  20. I am not sure anyone can answer that all you can do is apply and see. I can think of a few potential issues but they would very much depend on the circumstances.
  21. USCIS do not do IR 1 interviews, she is applying for an immigrant visa and by definition they are undertaken at a Consulate which are outside the US. Travelling for business for 6 months is unusual and may raise questions.
