  1. Probably never finished High School which is the very basic level, could have got a GED in Prison. Many basic jobs require a High School Diploma. The job I have required a drugs test, when I looked into it further as this was the first time I had every had to do one it seems many around where I am would fail.
  2. Anyone else identifying this Friday? Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #InspireInclusion. Celebrate women's achievement. Raise awareness about discrimination. Take action to drive gender parity. IWD belongs to everyone, everywhere. Inclusion means all IWD action is valid. https://www.internationalwomensday.com/

  5. Joe Biden promised to ‘absorb’ 2 million asylum seekers ‘in a heartbeat’ in 2019 - he now faces an immigration crisis https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/07/politics/kfile-biden-2-million-migrants-asylum-seekers-immigration-crisis/index.html CNN — During his 2020 presidential campaign, Joe Biden promised a stark departure from the immigration policies of the Trump administration. He pledged a 100-day moratorium on deportations after taking office. He promised to protect sanctuary cities from federal law enforcement agencies. And he harshly criticized the Trump administration’s treatment of undocumented immigrants at the southern border, asserting that America had the capacity to “absorb people” while calling on asylum seekers to “surge” to the border “We could afford to take in a heartbeat another two million,” Biden said at one event in August 2019. “The idea that a country of 330 million people cannot absorb people who are in desperate need and who are justifiably fleeing oppression is absolutely bizarre.” An estimated 3 million migrants who have been encountered at the southern border since Biden took office in January 2021 remain in the US, according to figures flagged by the Biden administration. At a Democratic debate in September 2019, Biden said as president he would do “several more things.” “I would in fact make sure that there is – we immediately surge to the border all those people are seeking asylum. They deserve to be heard. That’s who we are,” Biden said. “We’re a nation that says, ‘If you wanna flee and you’re fleeing oppression, you should come,’” he added. During his 2020 presidential campaign against Donald Trump, Biden was in a much different position as illegal border crossings were significantly lower than they are today.

  7. Anyway back to the Disaster that is Denver. This was on the TV last night, headline is a bot misleading. https://www.denver7.com/news/crime/man-attacks-electric-dream-boutique-on-south-broadway-shattering-glass-door-while-threatening-employee-inside Short version Downtown is pretty bad and not somewhere most people would go to, but now it is spreading. Broadway I did occasionally go to there were a couple of shops I liked and it is a long walk from Downtown, anyway the area was 'gentrified' some time back but now things are getting bad. As always voting has consequences and they replaced one idiot with another.
  8. New York will send National Guard to subways after a string of violent crimes https://apnews.com/article/new-york-city-subway-national-guard-crime-f046ecaac79601f6113efa8a0c8f25c7 Hochul, a Democrat, said she will deploy 750 members of the National Guard to the subways to assist the New York Police Department with bag checks at entrances to busy train stations. Sounds racist, what happened to St George?
  9. I think you may be focussing on things that do not matter, read the DS 160, it has the questions you need.
  10. Wrong thread The alternative of adjusting is Consulate processing that has a long queue.
  11. J1 is non immigrant, I do not see HRR, H1b is dual intent and I know schools have used it and obviously needs the school to be cap exempt.
  12. A Lawyer or a Notario? My money is on Notario, she is being scammed.
  13. I have seen it before, not common, a year is the max.
  14. He can work on TN but TN is a non immigrant visa so useless for travel. Marry and file before the end of the month.
  15. Most Bs are multi entry
  16. There was a discussion about this some time back and if you cancelled the I 130 it would be down the Chief in the Consulate to decide, some apparently will and some will not, as they have not suggested this I assume not. But by all means ask.
  17. Amazing how much cheaper it is to Marry than Divorce. Equity?
  18. Probably not, if you work for a company with US operations you could seek a transfer.
  19. Visa Waiver Programme https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visa-waiver-program.html You get ESTA which allows you travel and seek admission under the VWP, good for a 90 day per trip but I would not max it out. If you decide to marry he is the one who will file an I 130 for you.
  20. I remember seeing the number...., millions anyway.
  21. First and most importantly we do not judge. Swiss are eligible for the VWP Meet first and see where it goes if anywhere, you are getting ahead of yourself. Also wondering what your friends and family think of this?
