No, most of the LPRs and citizens do not get stamp upon their entry into the US. It's normal.

As a British citizen (if you are), you do not need visa to go back and live in the UK. Same for your children, but they need UK passports to enter the country.

@Agentk700 Make sure your relative does not to use heavy terms such as "fraud" or blame somebody into tricking him to marry the person.

    The way I understand it:
    1. He geniunely loved the person
    2. He married her because he wanted to have a family with her
    3. Nobody forced him to marry, he is an adult who could decide for himself
    4. As the time went by, he discovered the marriage would not work out

If the statements above are not accurate and he indeed committed a fraud, then yes, he would be in big trouble.

If the statements above are correct, he would need to file for divorce and submit I-751 with the waiver. He would be OK if he can prove they had a legitimate marriage, supported by a lot of evidence.

This is for removal of conditions. If somebody gets their green card based on marriage to US citizen, and that marriage is under 2 years at the time the green card is issued, they get conditional GC.

The I-90 will likely never be approved nor does it matter.

Rarely USCIS insists it made no error and denies the I-90 and I-751.  I’ve only seen one such case.

Usually this error gets caught by N-400, but as you can see from the above, not always.  Neon red is well past the recession deadline.

    File I-751 on time.

I don’t know why USCIS continues to give 10 year and 2 year green cards in error.

Do not use cell phone companies with prepaid Plans, like Metro PCS. You need to get a cell phone provider, with Contract. Then this address and phone number is verifiable.

If the i90 is still pending and you don’t your conditional green card in time, I would include a copy of your i90 receipt notice, your i485 approval notice or the CR1 visa stamp date in passport (date of entry to USA), photocopy of front and back of the defective 10 year green card, copy of your marriage certificate, and an explanation in the cover letter explaining you received the 10 year green card in error indicating you marriage date and LPR start date and you are awaiting your conditional green card to be issued included with your i751 application.

You can file 2 years after the date she became a legal resident minus 90 days.  Do not file earlier than that.

It's correct if you want to obtain SB-1 returning IV.
But why go through that trouble if you can simply just board a plane with your unexpired GC to the US? Again, only immigration judge can revoke your greencard; board a plane to the US and refuse to any I-407 at the airport.

She should be good to go with her driver's license, but in the 0.01% chance that she encounters a TSA agent who doesn't know how to handle a DC driver's license, maybe you can look into CLEAR, which uses biometric scans instead of ID to confirm passengers' identities.

You need to assume you are getting a combo interview. Your spouse needs to be available for the interview.

I don't know what your wife's immigration status, but you need to accumulate quite a bit of evidence of marital life with address on it for various applications such as I-485, I-751, N-400 (if any applies) So better start early than late. Open those joint accounts, start paying at least mobile phone bills, have pay stubs, insurance etc in this address.

OldUser reacted to Chancy in Is it allowed for me to get pregnant in America after married with my boyfriend before i get citizenship greencard?
The US has no restriction based on immigration status, for getting pregnant or getting married.  Citizens, green card holders, tourists, even illegal aliens, are all permitted to marry or get pregnant if they want.  The restriction is on traveling, living, and working in the US.  To be able to travel or move to the US, you must have an appropriate US visa, such as a CR1/IR1 spouse visa.  Even if you have an American husband or child, you will not be allowed to travel to or enter the US without the right visa.

Got it. Just to be clear, the USCIS would want proof of you living together and sharing finances at removal of conditions stage (I-751).
They'd want evidence for the time between you married and she became the resident to the date of her I-751 filing.
It would not be enough to submit one or two joint bank statments dated a month or two prior to filing I-751. You need a lot of samples for the past 2 years at that stage.
Hence my suggestions not to kick the can down the road and start collecting / establishing the evidence starting today.

Hi @lovinglive which state are you in? Is this a matter of bringing two documents for proof, not just one? E.g. utility bill / medical bill and bank statement both showing address and name.

You don't need to be a US citizen to get a job as a dentist. That is a very strange idea. Unless you are getting a job at the government, work with Department of Defense, or need special security clearance, your LPR status is more than enough. Please do some research before jumping to conclusions and being condescending to forum users, who give advice to protect you from extra scrutiny and potential denial of your N-400.

@Joe Minero you don't need to wait 90 days after your international trip to apply for citizenhip, unless you don't pass the physical presence test. Because you pass the physical presence test and haven't moved to new state less than 90 days ago, you should be good to apply.
Just don't apply exactly 90 days early. Apply a week or two later.
