  1. Mine only took 8 weeks too from submission of my n-400 to my scheduled interview. If it was me - I will wait until after the vacation to submit the application since it is only a week anyway. It gives me a piece of mind and helps me monitor the documents and respond quickly if and when problem arise.
  2. I see your local office USCIS office is in El Paso - mine was too and it was quick- this goes the same with my other 2 adult children. My 2 children took 12 weeks from filing to when they were scheduled to an interview. I think El Paso USCIS -Both Biometric and where they do the interview does not look too busy. - Good luck on your upcoming interview.
  3. My Interview happened 8 weeks after I submitted my Naturalization application.
  4. I had my Interview Dec. 13 and passed. They did not take my Greencard. I was told they'll ask it during the oath taking. so maybe if it is the same day oath possibly they will but like what other VJ'ers had mentioned - you can decline the same day Oath Taking.
  5. Correction-older children (over 20 year old - not minor)
  6. Hello Everyone, Happy Friday! I just want to check with VJ's who may have experienced rescheduling their OathTaking? Just to give you a glimpse of why I wanted to reschedule - my 2 minor children will be doing their interview next week (daughter 1) and 2nd week of February (daughter 2). I am wondering if it is possible to request my oath taking together with my 2 children? (Granting they pass the interview - Praying that they will). Had anybody here been able to request for their oath taking to be rescheduled? Thank you, Dee
  7. Hello Everyone, I just wanted to share my Naturalization Journey. I can not believe how quick the process was for my case. Below is the timeline From Filing to passing my Naturalization Interview / Test. My test preparation was only short but I am happy I passed the test. I am just waiting for my Oath Taking. Case history Status Date Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled December 13, 2022 We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review. December 13, 2022 We scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. November 8, 2022 We are actively reviewing your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. Our records showed nothing is outstanding at this time. October 20, 2022 We received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, and sent you a receipt notice. October 17, 2022 My experience with the IO who interviewed me was great. IO was nice she asked me 6 civic questions and asked to write on a tablet the sentence she said. She asked me few questions regarding details that was included in the packet I sent. She made the environment so welcoming that it made me feel relaxed (my nervousness slowly faded). She asked me questions about my job - which according to her was not anymore part of the interview but just a chit chat - my interview experience was really a nice one. I was not asked to provide more evidence by the way. She provided me informations on what to expect during the Oath Taking Ceremony and I was surprised when she told me they are not taking my Philippine passport , only the green card. B/R Dee
  8. Hello Fellow VJ'ers, So my daughter received a letter from the USCIS. The first page is about creating online account. She thought the letter was about the online account creation only. Later did she find out that it also had a letter about her biometric schedule. She only found out about the biometric letter today, a week past her scheduled biometric. She called USCIS to request to reschedule, is there anybody that had any luck being approved to reschedule biometric 1 week after missing the appointment? Thank you, Dee
  9. How did they do the Civic and English Test? computerized testing or other method of testing?
  10. Sorry - I was thinking I-751 was the notice of approval for my N-400. I just realized it is the ROC- Yes I was already done with that having issued a permanent resident card with 10 years validity.
  11. Editing: I-751 - ROC - Its been years ago since I did my ROC so I forgot what I-751 was - anyways, I am past the ROC stage so it should only be N-400 for me (I stand corrected if I am wrong).
