I doubt those names are fake. Why did she lie in first place about having no baby daddies on bc? What can she gain from that? And does she mean fake as in she made-up names or she let some friends sign or what? I don’t think you can just put somebody ‘fake’ on birth certificate without their consent and signature. Unless maybe they were married at time.. Talk to her and try to explain her that she needs to be honest. This complicates things, as explained on comment above mine ^.

Apart from the anticipated problems with immigration, you should seriously reconsider if you want to continue a relationship with someone who lied to you about something so important. First she told you she didn't list the fathers, and now that you need the birth certificates, she changed the story and said there are fathers on the BCs, but their names are fake. Sounds like BS to me.

You'll need to ask yourself what else else she might not be honest about.

Prosle nedelje sam imala intervju u ambasadi i bilo je ok. Sve se zavrsilo u roku od sat vremena :].
Pregled sam radila dva dana pred intervju u Smiljanicevoj ordinaciji.

For those that have been following our journey.

It's been a long one.  It started when we both met while I was on a long term work assignment in Makati.  Then we had the long-distance relationship which had it's ups and downs.   Eventually we were united and we started off happy.

That's when things got "interesting".   Her jealous nature, my ignorance as to how certain things would be perceived and both of our needing to learn about each other.  (Example:  Going from a long-distance relationship to being married within 90 days has an adjustment period that will always catch by surprise).  The other aspect was extended family causing issues for us as well.  Combine this with my wife's insane temper and it was a rough ride for a bit.

I'm happy to say that I truly believe we are past the worst and we will have a very bright future.  My wife really stepped up during some recent tragedies in the family, and of course she earned the respect of everyone in my extended family.    More important than that however I think she's learned to bond and understand some members of my extended family.  My wife has settled into her new job and is looking beyond that.  She's become independent while also being a loyal and supportive wife.

I guess my points are:  These things aren't easy.  Paradise isn't free.  Stick with it, never let each other go, and no matter how bad things can seem at some times, they can work out.

Thank you all here for your endless support and advice.  It has been very much appreciated.

I would like to share 2 situations involving this form. One is about my sister. When she married her first husband, she didn't know he didn't make enough money so when he applied for her green card they were  requested to have a sponsor. He asked his parents, but they didn't sign it. Because of that, my sister was married for 4 years without a green card until he died from a heart attack and left her with 2 small children. It was a very hard situation for my sister. She later was able to get a green card, but life would had been better if she had gotten at that time.
Second situation is about myself. When I got married to my husband I also didn't know that he didn't make enough money (he was self-employed at that time). When he applied to my green card, we were requested to find a sponsor. He asked his parents and they decided to be my sponsor. They also had those questions, but we explained to them what really was. Now, 4 years later, life is so much better. I can work and be productive in this country. Our finances are so much better. We never needed the government help for anything. Because my in-laws, I will be soon be applying for my citizenship.

I second this. It's your life and your decision but I feel like for the amount of turmoil and misery that you would be putting your daughter through for something that's is extremely low risk to you would be a bit cruel. I'm not sure how far his country is or how difficult it is for them to see each other but I know for a fact if my parents had added another 2 years of visa hell onto my already miserable k1 process I would have cut them out of my life. Thankfully my parents have been nothing but supportive this whole time. I just hope you can try and understand her situation.

This. If you decide not to do this, kiss goodbye to ever having your daughter or son in law visit you on the holidays again.

Having been in that situation (as the immigrant son in law, whose wife was at university when we got married), I'll never forgive her aunt who talked her uncle out of co-sponsoring at the 11th hour (and before anyone asks about my wifes parents and why they didn't sponsor, one is not a us citizen and lives overseas, the other one died in a very traumatic incident during the filing process).  We were put in a last minute situation of having to decided to a) have my wife drop out of university, abandon all scholarships and get a low paying job b) us leaving the country or c) find a last minute co sponsor.

Thankfully we were able to do c) our half brother in law sponsored me, and I got citizenship last weekend. The likelyhood of your university educated son in law ever needing you to pay a cent to the government is slim to none.

Don't worry about it. Like what my now-husband told my father, "When you know, you know!"
    We met online February 2018.
    Became boyfriend-girlfriend in March 2018.
He traveled to see me first time in June 2018. We got engaged on 2nd day of his 8-day stay.
He filed for fiancé visa in December 2018.
I immigrated to the US in July 2019.
    Got married in August 2019.
Two years later, we are still madly inlove with each other 🥰

Welp if you had any surgeries you can bring discharge letter, or if you had any mental issues you can get your medical history from your doctor and note that you overcame it. If you didn’t have any surgeries or mental issues, then you can’t bring what you don’t have. At exam you are probably going to fill out some form about health history. Even if you had surgery in past and have no paperwork i think you should be fine. I had tonsils removals, some watery cyst on neck and 2 mole removals and i have paperwork from all, i’ll bring them but i never heard anybody from my country ever needing this kind of paperwork on medical. Just vaccinations records and doctor’s note i mentioned earlier if person had mental issues in past.

How to Respond to Request for Evidence of No Marriage: "No Record Letter" / "Certificate of Non-Impediment" / "Certificate of No Marriage"

    Here's my follow up:

I was distraught for a while. I thought the Request for Evidence (RFE) meant that I had done something wrong, but I have since learned that they're doing this to everyone now.

They asked me to prove that my partner and I are not married, but they also refused to offer any guidance regarding what kind of forms would constitute proof of non marriage, which was frustrating.

They also insisted that I provide the evidence requested, even if it's in response to an error.

I ended up sending them the following things:
My partner's Cenomar (Certificate of No Marriage) from the Philippines Letter attesting to No Record of marriage for myself from the New York City Clerk (AKA No Record Letter) No Record Letter for myself from New York State Department of Health Signed and dated cover letter with a list of the items enclosed, with a brief statement that I am not married, along with an explanation of the mistake I made on the I-129F, asking to amend my answer to "I am not married, I have no spouse." There's a lot of bad information floating around. The exact documents that you need to prove non-marriage have different names depending upon where you and your partner are from!

There is no national US registry of marriages, so you need to follow the process for each state where you have resided since you were of marriageable age. Each state has a different process, and uses different terminology, which can be very confusing.

New York separates the state from the municipality of New York City, so I had to follow this process for each one.

In addition, some US States and countries do not offer any such proof, and consider a signed and notarized letter from the marriage applicant to be sufficient. This had me worried, because I was a Vermont resident for many years, and they are one such state. I didn't mention them in my letter to avoid weakening our case, but I did attest that I wasn't married in a signed and dated document, and USCIS approved us!

I did not apostille any of the documents. This is another point of confusion. If you're getting married here in the US, you don't need an Apostille stamp. The Cenomar and No Record Letters came to me pre-notarized, and that was sufficient for the K1.

There's also a lot of confusion around "Certificate of Non-Impediment" vs. "No Record Letter." Every state is different. In New York City, Certificate of Non-Impediment is used for people getting married out of the country, and the No Record Letter is used for people getting married in the US.

If you're filing the K1 Visa, that means you will be getting married in the US, even though your documents are being sent to the US Consulate abroad. They respected my documents from the City of New York. Most communications that you will receive from the state will have a round stamp on them. That's a notary. That's all you need!

This entire process took about one month of scrambling to get the documents together. The state is super slow, especially because of covid, so I recommend you hustle. I was actually a couple days late, but in my letter, I invoked the Covid extension mentioned earlier in this thread, and they accepted my documents anyway.

Getting a no-record letter takes at least a month. It's slow enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY drop everything and apply for them as soon as USCIS sends you the RFE. If you slack off, and miss the deadline for the RFE, they will close your case, and you'll have to start over!

Once I sent the RFE Response, I received an Approval after about three weeks! I believe my partner should be receiving her Visa application any day now.

I just hope this post will help anyone freaking out about the RFE like I was. I have found that my state, city, and federal government and my fiance's national government do not speak the same bureaucratic language, and they don't agree on timeframes or how documents should be used!

All in all, it's been a frustrating and stressful journey, but I am over the moon that we have finally been approved after about a year, and I just hope that this can clarify the process for some of you who are stuck on the RFE and overwhelmed like I was!

In closing, I'd just like to emphasize more than anything else: don't slack off at all on the RFE. You have to be super proactive and prompt, otherwise they're going to close your case.

Thanks for all of your help!

221gs are extremely common.  I'm not sure where you got your information, but 221gs are given when additional documents are needed, when additional background checks need to be done, or even when a final check is pending.  It could be a days, weeks, or months.  Yes, "Refused" is the proper status for a case undergoing AP.  It does not mean the case has been denied.  Hopefully, the status will change to "issued" soon.
