Well, you'll get a lot of accurate comments about how the CR-1 visa (via the I-130 petition) is far superior to the K-1 visa (via the I-129F petition) and how they take essentially the same amount of time. There are zillions of threads here about that. We can leave the thread here without harm.

She can call Customs & Border Protection at any port of entry, ask for the shift supervisor, explain, and get an answer. She should take note of where and when she called and to whom she spoke. Look on cbp.gov for a list of ports. (I recommend against e-mailing through the CBP site; it takes forever to get an answer.)
