  3. Wednesday means time for our hilarious Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke: =========================================== SIX GOOD ONES Sergeant: Smith! Private: Yes, sir! Sergeant: I didn't see you at camouflage practice today! Private: Thank you, sir! When I was a boy, my mom would send me to the store with a dollar. I'd come back with 5 potatoes, 2 loaves of bread, 3 bottles of milk, a hunk of cheese, a box of tea, and 6 eggs. You can't do that now. Too many security cameras. A police officer came to my house and asked where I was between five and six. He seemed irritated when I answered, "Kindergarten." Where do bad rainbows go? To prism. It's a light sentence, but it gives them time to reflect. Sorry, but your password must contain at least 8 characters, upper- and lower-case letters, a symbol or number, a hieroglyph, a haiku, a musical note, the feather of a hawk, and a drop of unicorn blood. I've crunched the numbers in your retirement account. It's time to figure out who will be wearing the mask and who will be driving the getaway car.

Almost too close to the truth to be true satire... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Harvard Warns Loss Of Federal Funding Will Cripple Their Ability To Find A Final Solution To The Jewish Problem CAMBRIDGE, MA — In the wake of the Trump administration freezing $2.3 billion in federal funding to Harvard University, leaders of the university are sounding the alarm that the loss of funding will severely cripple their ability to find a final solution to the Jewish Problem. The Jewish Problem, according to Harvard, is that there are many Jews on campus and these Jews believe they have a right to attend classes without being harmed, even though they are Jews. Trump had frozen federal funding in part over a disagreement with the university's tolerance for violent antisemitism on campus, which Harvard says may actually be part of the solution they've been trying to find. 5. Another One Bites the Dust: Hamas Commander Taken Out by Israel Defense Forces It has to be getting downright difficult for Hamas bigwigs to find a decent life insurance policy these days, what with the Israel Defense Forces drawing the net tighter with each passing day. On Tuesday, the IDF announced that another Hamas commander had been eliminated. The goblin in question, one Muhammad al-'Ajlah, was commanding a combat support battalion in Hamas's Shejaiya battalion when the IDF changed his pronouns to "was" and "were." 12. Infuriating. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SCOTUS' Timidity Triggers Constitutional Crisis The Supreme Court has interceded six times in less than three months to rein in federal judges who improperly exceeded their Article III authority and infringed on the Article II authority of President Donald Trump. Yet the high court continues to issue mealy-mouthed opinions which serve only to exacerbate the ongoing battle between the Executive and Judicial branches of government. And now there is a constitutional crisis primed to explode this week in a federal court in Maryland over the removal of an El Salvadoran — courtesy of the justices' latest baby-splitting foray on Thursday. On Thursday last, in Noem v. Garcia, the Supreme Court issued a short two-page order on President Trump's application asking the justices to vacate an injunction issued by Maryland federal judge Paula Xinis. 13. VDH is on his game here! Worth reading. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ China Would Lose a 'Trade War' With the US—'Gradually, then Suddenly' No one wants a "trade war" with China, or for that matter with any nation. Nonetheless, China has been waging one for years and is now locked in a tariff recalibration with the Trump administration. In this American effort to find trade parity and equity, China can do some short-term damage to the U.S., especially in terms of ceasing exports of some pharmaceuticals, phones, and computers. But ultimately, it cannot win—and will eventually lose catastrophically. It will likely accept that reality sooner rather than later. We are only in the first week of the escalating rhetoric and tariffs. But already China is appealing to its Asian rivals, Australia, and the EU to join in fighting the supposed American bully. But so far, there are understandably few takers. An exasperated China is now also [...] https://amgreatness.com/2025/04/14/china-would-lose-a-trade-war-with-the-us-gradually-then-suddenly/
  14. The last several posts raise questions. Yes, a GE card substitutes for a passport at U.S. POE. But do other countries recognize and accept it just as readily as our CBP does? If yes, does this mean that a USC could carry a GE card abroad instead of carrying a passport? What about countries that stamp foreigners' passports on entry or entry/exit?
  15. Country-specific thread is moved to the Philippines regional forum.
  16. This is at once a tragically sad and thoroughly enraging post. The hottest place in Hell awaits this barbarian. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Palmhurst man charged with animal cruelty for 'curb stomping' cat A 20-year-old Palmhurst man was arrested Thursday outside a Tru-Fit Gym in Mission after admitting to smashing a cat with a rock before "curb stomping" it, according to a probable cause affidavit. Alec Omar Espericueta was charged with animal cruelty for allegedly killing a stray cat by slamming the cat on the ground multiple times, striking the cat on the head with a rock and stomping on the cat's head with his foot. At 11:28 a.m. on Thursday, a Mission police officer was dispatched to 1718 E. Griffin Parkway in reference to an animal cruelty case. The officer made contact with a witness who stated over the phone that she saw a man on the east side of the gym parking lot holding what she initially thought was a car mat, according to the affidavit. She then noticed that he was holding an animal but wasn't sure if it was a cat or dog. [...] https://myrgv.com/local-news/2025/04/12/palmhurst-man-charged-with-animal-cruelty-for-curb-stomping-cat/

  22. Gov. Half-Whitmer doesn't appear to be ready for prime time. Hopefully, this ruins her chances for further elective office. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Who is Gretchen Whitmer Hiding From? [...] What's going on here? Is this some White House staffer who was caught in a weird or awkward moment? Nope. It's Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, one of the names that is often tossed around as a potential new leader for the Democrats and a presidential candidate in 2028, standing in the Oval Office, hiding her face behind some folders as if she's been caught by the paparazzi. If you don't believe me, here's another shot of Whitmer in the Oval Office on the same day, looking like she's rethinking every life choice she's ever made.
