  1. Well, well; surprise, surprise. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A trove of captured documents reveals Hamas's Nazi-esque plans [...] Hamas documents revealed that it had no intention of hitting military targets when it raided Israel last weekend. Its goal all along was to target civilians…the younger, the better. [...] https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2023/10/a_trove_of_captured_documents_reveals_hamass_naziesque_plans.html

  5. Thrilling Saturday non-GS report, see man: We wore our new Eddie Bauer pocket t-shirt while GS-ing, bought just on Friday at the ES man. It was half-past Many (2x2x2 +1) a.m. when we tired of GS-ing, all-time early record man. Decided to mow front yard and undead Many'rd of back yard, mow we man. Naturally, the breeze stopped completely during that time, man. We managed to consume only one sweatband, really needed 2 man. Our entire body hurt afterward, ow ow ow ow OW man. Ran errands, si man. First to favorite nearby resale shop, donate Mini-B.'s garments man. Was interesting driving in the weird partial-eclipse light, different man. Next to Walmart, see man: Rant, grrr man: We hate Walmart with the passion of Many,000 burning suns, grrr man. Always mobbed, hate that man. Never have everything that we need, no man -- not ever, no man. Next to legacy supermarket that almost always does have everything, wish we'd gone there first man. That place was even more mobbed than Walmart, hate that man. Left with our nerves frazzled, not fun man. Lunch (at 2 p.m.) was one super-long sub sandwich from Walmart, at least that was available ingest we man. A siesta was taken, zzz we man. Awoke and watched a little college football, rah rah go team man. Went to second legacy supermarket, coupons man. Made out like a bandit at the clearance/dent bin, financially savvy we man. Cashieress screwed up and didn't ring up one item, belatedly discovered windfall man. Din-din was a Banquet meatloaf frozen din-din from this store, ingest we man. Catered to demands of needy miu, brush/lap/play/feed miu man. Party with the rubias a bit later, cavort we man. Quite a bit to clean up before Two Guys (?) week tomorrow eve, must apply ourself we man.
  6. Saturday GS report, see man: We actually did get started rather early, much caffeine man. As expected, Many GSs, few to none with anything, slow down glance drive away man. We lost interest after about a Manyzen of these, oh well man. One, however, yielded the take, see man: -- 2 green-plastic balls* from Hobby Lobby = $1, OK man *envisioned as miu-toys, envision we man Total = $1
  7. You go to bed this instant, si to zzz D ma'am!
  8. It's not only the communications, but the knowledge to be able to read, evaluate, and scrutinize documents in Russian that are provided as support. If "Locally Engaged Staff" (formerly Foreign Service Nationals) -- natives of the local country who are employed by the consulate -- are present, they can tell certain things about the documents (and perhaps things about interviewees' answers to the interview questions) that non-natives could not. This is probably one reason why Mongolia (e.g.) has not been an option for Russian interviewees. The other reason is a very small official staff -- two COs maximum, and possibly just one officer.
  9. This puts reality into very sad perspective. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Israeli father said he punched the air with relief when he heard Hamas had killed 8-year-old daughter as the alternative would have been 'worse than death' [...] "She was either dead or in Gaza. And if you know anything about what they do to people in Gaza, that is worse than death." [...] https://www.yahoo.com/news/israeli-father-said-punched-air-100923066.html
  10. Grade level precised, see and si and D ma'am. The above is exactly what Mama T-B. said, too, si man. The phone issue is touchy, sigh man. Ex-Mrs.-T-B. initially claimed that she could control it remotely, si man. Then, ex-she man backed off from that, reasoning technologically beyond me man. Then there came the issue of his needing the phone for calls & texts to us, safety issue man. We nevertheless have no idea why his phone can't be limited, no man.
  11. This brings memories of the chemical solution with the notice, "Completely Denatured Alcohol. "
  12. I, the petitioner, was outraged at how long (back then -- nothing like now) it took USCIS to approve Mrs. T-B.-to-be's I-129F petition. We then got hosed beyond description at the [censored deleted emended] Guayaquil consulate. After Mrs. T-B.-to-be finally got here, the AOS, ROC, and N-400 were straightforward and uneventful. It was a relief to deal with USCIS again! Knowing what I know now (and see on VJ now), I would never go through another foreign relationship unless she were already in the U.S. and needed to adjust status. See for details: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/410945-k-1-journey-completed/
  13. There remains a finite number of consulates with the space, personnel, and Russian-language capabilities to service every Russian who needs service. Such a bummer.
  14. Monthly order from chewy.com came today, just in time man. Those people have customer service and website capabilities down to a science! I chiefly order food, but you can also order litter and not have to lug it home from the store. -- I've also concluded that I should buy only "lightweight" litter. The regular stuff makes the poop-clumps really heavy, and I must refill the box more often.
  15. Thrilling non-GS/ES Friday report, see man: Got going at a reasonable time for us, ingest caffeine pill we man. Long drive to all GSs/ESs, sigh man. Lunch at Arby's WUOC, ingest financially savvy we man. Back near the casa, stopped at Goodwill to find long pants for Mini-B., useless man. Stopped at Ross, got pants/socks for Mini-B. we man. Stopped at Target, got 2 pants at ridiculous price for Mini-B., stoopid to pay full retail man. Arrived exhausted at casa to outraged miu, treat/lunch miu we man. Showered, felt better thereafter we man. Din-din was toucans of chicken noodle soup, ingest we man. Siesta'd for an hour, zzz we man. Yakked with Mama T-B. about Mini-B., consult we man senior she man man. Mama T-B. says to lay down the law, father not friend we man. If Mini-B. is to live here, he will keep a civil tongue in his head, si man. If he has complaints, he is invited to rectify them, si man. If he continues to bomb his skool assignments, phone gets taken away man. He should also probably caucus with the skool counselor, si man. Automated e-mail from skool showed yet another undone skool assignment, 0 score man. Mini-B. lied to ex-Mrs.-T-B. yet again, man. We caucused with ex-Mrs.-T-B., caucus we man with ex-she man man. Ex-she man and we man will caucus with non-P-math teechur on Monday, attend we man and ex-she man. After much angst, we have itineraried only local GSs for Saturday, oh well man. Our expectations are low, but at least this trip won't wear us out, reason we man. However, we shall have to arise before o'dark-Many in order to get going, man. No Many-year-old is going to rule in our casa, no and gracias D ma'am.
  16. Friday GS/ES report, see man: We attended all but a phantom GS (grrrrRRRRR) and one that we ran out of time to get to, si man. Many (2+1) of the ESs yielded the take, see man: -- thick stack Dixie Ultra din-din plates = $1, steal man -- wooden tray, soft bath-towel, rather full bottle mega-guaifenesin = $Many ($2+2), steal man -- 2 T-shirts (1 Eddie Bauer, 1 "Cocoa Beach" NWT) = $Many ($2+2+2), steal man Total = $Many ($2x2x2 +2+2)
  17. One morning, Cat T-B. #1 (r.i.p.) decided that breakfast was late. She jumped into bed and began head-butting me. Then she turned around and farted on me. This last action will awaken one in a hurry.

  19. Pro-Palestinian Harvard Students' First Lesson in Job Hunting - CEOs Not Interested in Hamas Supporters One thing that is always noticeable about the actions of the left is that they never seem to comprehend the big picture. It's like they are virtually incapable of looking beyond next week at the most. However, if you are a college student, one might think that planning for the future is something that you do regularly, especially at a premier university like Harvard. You attend that school because you are in the academic elite. But apparently, many of the current crop of Harvard students have yet to figure out that the internet is forever, and what you post there follows you. 20. BREAKING: Israel Bombs Damascus Airport Israeli missiles bombed landing strips at Syria's Damascus Airport and at its second-largest airport in Aleppo. It is likely no coincidence that a Meraj Airlines passenger jet reportedly carrying Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian was on its way to Damascus at the time of the bombing. 22. Egypt: No way we let Gazans into our country [...] few bother to acknowledge that Egypt has partnered with Israel on that containment strategy, and for the same reasons. Those reasons are so vital to Cairo that even with an Israeli ground invasion perhaps just hours away, Egypt refuses to open the Rafah gate and let Gazans pass into Egypt, even temporarily, to escape the carnage they started: [...] https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2023/10/12/egypt-no-way-we-let-gazans-into-our-country-n584227
  23. BREAKING: US, Qatar refreeze $6 billion in Iran hostage payment [...] the White House appears to have found enough of a pretext to refreeze access to the funds. The question will be how long that freeze will continue: [...] https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2023/10/12/auto-draft-193-2-n584392
