Oops: Columbia University President Accidentally Gives Nazi Salute When Being Sworn In For Congressional Testimony WASHINGTON, D.C. — Further controversy erupted on Capitol Hill today at the start of a hearing on antisemitism on college campuses, as Columbia University president Nemat Shafik accidentally gave a Nazi salute when being sworn in before her congressional testimony. The mix-up occurred as Shafik was asked to raise her right hand to testify about her institution's culture in the face of accusations of hate and discrimination [...] https://babylonbee.com/news/oops-columbia-university-president-accidentally-gives-nazi-salute-when-being-sworn-in-for-congressional-testimony
  2. Judge Announces Trump Will Not Be Permitted To Go To Son's Graduation Or To The Bathroom Until Trial Finished NEW YORK, NY — Public sentiment was deeply divided on the subject of former President Donald Trump's criminal trial after the presiding judge announced Trump would not be permitted to go to his son's graduation or to the bathroom until the trial was finished. The unorthodox decree to refuse Trump's right to use the men's room at any point over the next several months was met with both praise and criticism from different corners of the media, with Trump vowing to meet the requirement despite his disagreement with it. There's a Serious Problem With Joe Biden's 'Uncle Eaten By Cannibals' Story [...] he repeated two lies during this visit: one involved Trump calling those killed at Normandy "losers" and "suckers," and this weird story about how "Uncle Bosie" was shot down during World War II and eaten by cannibals [...] https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2024/04/17/biden-repeats-another-lie-about-donald-trump-in-scranton-visit-n2637936

  6. Boeing Engineer: 'I Was Told, Frankly, to Shut Up.' [...] The testimony offered here is alarming. Mr. Salehpour, who is still employed by Boeing, testified to having seen Boeing employees "jump up and down" on parts of aircraft under production to make the parts fit, instead of the more secure and time-consuming process of "shimming" the parts, which means to insert thin strips of metal to produce the proper fit. Another whistleblower, Ed Pierson, a former Boeing engineer, testified that records do exist of the Boeing worker who installed the door plug that blew off a Boeing 737 MAX airplane over Oregon in January, stating that he had personally turned those records over to the FBI. The FBI has not commented on the matter. [...] https://redstate.com/wardclark/2024/04/17/boeing-engineer-i-was-told-frankly-to-shut-up-n2172920

  8. NPR Whistleblower Uri Berliner Resigns From His Job, Blames 'Disparagement by New CEO' Katherine Maher It seems that National Public Radio won't have Uri Berliner to kick around anymore. 24. Judge Warns Trump Criminal Trial May Last Until, Say, November 6 [...] "I'm just picking a date off the top of my head here," Judge Merchan said. "It can be difficult to nail down a possible end date for any case, but if I had to make an educated guess, I'd say that this specific case will probably end on, oh, I don't know, November 6. That's just an arbitrary date that popped into my mind and anything else happening around that time is purely coincidental."
