I think so because if ds5535. There are many reason for AP. It could be missing docs, when someone uploads it. It shouldn’t take this long review it. My is DS5535, which has to be approved before moving forward.

If I file WOM, and no status of ds5535 what do you think court will do?

I am afraid this is not the last step. I thought covid was last step. We almost had interview in Apr 06. It was cancelled.
 
we have been married for > 2.5 yrs!! 
 
I try not to compare cases but they have so much similarities. Master degree as housewife etc. no job, no different addresses for last 15 yrs etc. 
 
We did goto Maldives for 5 days just like every couples do. It was on my DS-260 and was asked at interviews like a simple question. Literally there was no sign of missing docs at Interview staff was really nice

is tourist visa same as visit visa? 
 
their primary purpose of visit visa is not to have baby in US. As they have been traveling before to US yearly basis.

they were thinking if baby is born in US, parents become US citizens immediately. Based on other post, this must not be true

They have no issue to keep visiting USA on visit visa for next +10 yrs, but if their parents petition, will this impact their chance of renewal of visit visa
 
They have no intention overstaying. They are looking for legal way.
 
They visit USA every year for summer vacation & go back for past 10 years. It was renewed couple of times. 
 
few options I came across for speedy legal process
 
1- Have a baby born in USA
2- find a employer who would sponsor husband or wife

I don't know if its much help since it was over 6 months ago but My husband was there at the end of July.   His appointment at Aziz was on July 28th he went back August 5th to pick up his CD and paperwork for his files everything was already sent to the embassy.  His interview was on August 6th.   So it was about a week.

Had an Interview on October 20.Given white slip 221g to fill and send DS 5535.On November 30 status changed from immigrant to nonimmigrant.
Today my status changed to Issued.

That Google docs was open to edit and even my entry was changed by another member so I started ny own.  Its also all ds5535 vj members I only focused on Pakistan.
 
I have included in mine members from Facebook and whatsapp as well so I would not be able to share it.  I just cut out visa journey members for you to start. 
 
I can send to you at least my notes as well to add to yours when I get on my laptop later today.

I was keeping a spreadsheet but have not updated it quite sometime but here are some Pakistan VJ members given ds5535 unfortunately many disappear and we don't get to hear their end result.

Two on this list had cases returned.  
 
To get the information for those filed WOM use the facebook and what app groups  I wish more people came back here to update but unfortunately just not enough to have accurate data.

I have only seen one return after filing a WOM but they knew it was  to be returned anyway.  They do not return because background checks are incomplete... that is a myth.  I have not seen one returned for that reason.  They must make a decision the day of the interview the ds5535 is given when they don't feel ready to make the final decision.   Its a temporary denial but I have rarely seen anyone who gets one get a full denial later.  It almost always produces a visa sometimes weeks sometimes years.  You file the WOM when you are ready and it feels right.
 
Join Facebook groups (like imigrant home) to connect with others in your situation you'll find them helpful.

Sorry to say, but your visa application is refused and that screen is saying wait for that letter. That means, actual refusal & thats when they send you letter explaining reason behind your refusal. I also have refused on my status, but its a long paragraph. no where it says they mailed me letter. And my congress office said, my case is AP.
