If it helps at all, if you traveled through ORD (Chicago International Airport), "CHI" probably refers to Chicago.

OP, sounds like you will want to do some reading and research about the entire process, and become familiar with the terms used and waiting times for each step.

I talked to and met with two immigration attorneys before I started my process and neither one knew their ### from a hole in the ground. I would take their projection of doom with a grain of salt. I would like to think that we all know what we're up against at this point without needing a lawyer to tell us.
 
We went with the K-1 and the last thing I'd want to hear is some lawyer telling me what a mistake it was, while scratching a check for the pleasure. It seems like they are giving opinion based advice on a subject with no reference, and it doesn't sound like good advice to me.
 
As much as it sucks, and believe me I'm not happy, all we can do is wait and hope that things get moving as soon as possible. 
 
Our NOA2 expired last month by the way. I called the NVC and they said it would be automatically reinstated and I don't need to do anything else at this point. We'll see if this holds true.

My one cent on this. I wait till October 2 when they jack up all fees, i don't see any other reason. If not, and all will be closed, than this country is doomed probably (GDP subtracted more than 30% already) and i am highly likely out of here. They loosing trade war to China probably ( all Walmart's around US are more or less quarter  empty) or something is going on here, when was that in the world US closed all immigration into the country? Answer: during great depression. All about money and for money, this time there is some fancy virus story(40% of tested went through covid19 without any symptoms  and have antibodies), more than 80% or the rest 60% get back to normal, and because of tiny 3%with bad outcome they shut down the whole world like that? Something not right.

So I had my interview on Tuesday in Sydney. After them needing to internally process my medical results so unable to give me the official ‘Approved’ on Tuesday I got this this morning!!!

I don't, so I'm not sure if they had an emergency appointment or not, but still, they issued one after not issuing any for months in a row, so I got a little excited.

Thanks for posting this. I saw a few times that the claim was K-1s were the "LOWEST" priority. That's not technically wrong as it's in the last phase, but it implied it was lower than most others. The flow chart indicates that K-1s will resume under Phase 3, along with most other visas.
The only real "priority" cases prior to Phase 3 are IR-1/CR-1 and emergency cases.
Once Phase 3 is hit, they are prioritizing cases already scheduled that got canceled, a very limited set of cases (adoptions, humanitarian, etc.), then spouses and fiance/fiancee cases, then all others. So K-1 is not the lowest there either.

FINALLY got approved! 🙌   Out NOA-1 was February 12th, had a very long wait but so happy and relieved. Hopefully everyone on here waiting gets some good news soon! 

We received our approval today 😊, almost 3 weeks after they received our reply to an RFIE.

We just got our approval today! Our NOA1 was February 25th. No RFE. I stopped looking everyday and then looked this morning.

Oh man I’m really sorry about making you cry with those news  Yeah, I keep going back and forth but getting married would be very difficult because my fiance is transgender so obviously we can’t get married here, even if they would let him in. And knowing my luck the embassy would start processing k1s the day after the ceremony so  I’m really curious to see what happens with the lawsuit, maybe that could be the light at the end of the tunnel for us

ohhh 💕 I know how it feels. In June I thought after end of the ban all k1 procedures will be back on track. When I found out about the news.. I really cried and I was devastated. But you know what? As you said- follow your feeling- make everything you can to fight for your rights and to do everything you can to achieve your goal!

maybe going through Croatia as so many others would be some solution?

said post is the blunt truth.  in the 14+ years i've been here there is always someone who thinks they should be expedited because they are pregnant.
said expedites are more rare than an honest politician.

Sorry you're not more important just because you're pregnant. 

This is the primary reason that my beneficiary and I are choosing to go forward with the K-1 visa. Sure, it's great that some people are able to get married and go the spousal visa route, but this isn't the best option for some of us. Each couple should thoroughly research the whole process and do what is best for their own situation. No one owes an explanation or justification to uninvolved people about which route they choose.

Just think how far we all have come...There is now a light at the end of the tunnel.  Some Visas are being processed and even some K-1 visas.  I think we have been through the storm, and now we just have to wait a little while longer for the clouds to part and the sun to shine on us again.   Someone once said in a post that now we have all been through this difficult and changeling time,  there is nothing that you and your partner can't conquer now.  Hang in there folks...we are all in this together...

Algiers posted today that they are resuming the processing of all their backlogged immigrant visas including K1s. They will not take any new ones till the clear their backlog.  I'd recommend you stick it out a bit longer. 

They have their own website and blog with news letters, yet they mention nothing about it their. I am hesitant to complete a random microsoft doc online from a twitter feed. If they posted literally anything about it on their website, blog or news letter, and it was linked from them officially then I would be all in.
