  1. With all due respect to IRS, they do not know anything about immigration. Just send what everybody sends and what USCIS usually asks for which is the tax return transcript. Don’t confuse USICS, just keep it simple. More paperwork doesn’t mean better. You don’t need to order it. Just click download and print it out. That’s it.

  3. Tax return transcript. Download directly on the IRS website.
  4. *** Topic moved from USCIS service centers forum to General Immigration discussion where post entry GC delivery questions are posted *** It’s essentially a fee to print out the plastic card. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-fees/uscis-immigrant-fee
  5. *** Topic moved to the NVC forum as the question is with the NVC CEAC portal error. Screenshot with a full name visible under AOS section removed. Please black out all info before posting to protect your privacy ***

  7. It’s the same for me for I-751 that I filed recently and it was same for when I did AOS and had an IOE receipt number. More than half of the stuff I submitted was “missing” from the file USCIS uploaded. It’s not a cause for concern
  8. *** Topic moved from USCIS forum to K1 Process & Procedures *** I’m assuming you’re the petitioner. By red flagged, do you mean if USCIS might issue an RFE? They might or they might not. You can either wait for that or send a letter to the service center and explain. This is not guaranteed to work but wouldn’t hurt either.
  9. *** Hijack post removed. User has own thread now***
  10. *** Topic moved from K1 Progress Reports to What Visa Do I need forum as OP is asking about which route to take ***
  11. That’s an excellent point. I was not able to visit the US as I didn’t have a tourist visa and we had to rely on my now-husband to take time off work to visit me which was not that frequent unfortunately. Between submitting the K1 petition and my interview/entry which took 13 months, we only saw each other once during that time frame.
  12. *** Topic moved from K1 Progress Reports to What Visa Do I need *** As mentioned by others, K3’s are obsolete and have been replaced by CR1/IR1 spousal visa. There is no visa available to work and live in the US while waiting for the process, be it K1 or CR1. That would kind of defeat the purpose of having those in place if people could just come and live in the US. I sympathize with you - none of us wanted to wait so long to be reunited with our significant other. However, most here have been separated for months or years during the process. It’s a normal part of the immigration process. I’m not sure how being Canadian makes the process faster. In fact, Montreal is one of the busiest consulates due to a sheer number of applicants. I think now the wait time has improved slightly but before it was actually much longer than a lot of other consulates.
  13. You will have to contact the Manila consulate and ask them to send a request for a transfer to the Riyadh consulate. You might want to contact the Riyadh too and let them know you’ve asked Manila for a transfer. This might take a while (several weeks, possibly a couple of months).

  16. Very common It’s meaningless. A misleading statement that bears no significance
  17. Probably nothing is needed if DS-3025 is marked as fully complete including the vaccination part My post was more of a PSA that vaccination only transcription is not easy to come by and to get them at the overseas K1 exam if possible. This is usually what we recommend on VJ to be done, if possible
  18. The issue is that not every civil surgeon agrees to that; OP stated that the civil surgeons in his area are requesting a full exam instead of just the vaccination part. This is a common issue that happens, especially if you do not live in a big metropolitan city that has a lot of civil surgeons which increases a chance that one of them will do what you’re asking them for (i.e. transcribing the vaccination part only).
  19. Only during the interview process so you have a good amount of time before this comes into play
  20. Are you referring to using assets to qualify? He can’t qualify based on income because it will not continue upon entering the US since he can’t work until getting an EAD (unlike spousal visas where you can work/travel from day 1 of entering). Yes, it can negatively affect your process. Either he will need to show substantial liquid assets or you will have to find a joint sponsor. This will also come into play during AOS and I-864. Immigration is more stringent about that since it’s a legally binding document. They will most likely require a joint sponsor with the amount of RFEs they issue for I-864.
  21. We really ought to throw a big party once you get approved. Whew
  22. As far as I know, China is not backlogged. The ones that are heavily backlogged that come to mind are Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana. As a former K1, I’d go with a CR1 over K1 any day.
  23. Sorry, Should have been more specific. ~2 weeks from the time package was sent off and about 9 days after the text.
  24. *** Topic moved from Moving to America forum to US Embassy & Consulate discussion as the question is about US consulate & biometrics *** I believe you meant to say at the US consulate in Mumbai. NVC send an interview letter but it’s located in the United States.
  25. *** Topic moved from US Embassy & Consulate discussion to the Philippines forum as the question is not about the US consulate but CFO which is specific for the Philippines ***
