  1. *** Topic moved from K1 forum to Removing Conditions on Residency *** No. You must apply for removal of conditions (ROC) form I-751 first, you can’t bypass this step. When he’s eligible, he can apply for citizenship even if I-751 is still pending. From what you described it seems like he can apply for citizenship in 2025. Under the 3 year rule, you must be married to a US citizen AND be a lawful permanent resident for 3 years (so you have to count after he had his I-485 approved, not when he came to the US on K1).

  4. *** Topic moved from K1 forum to AOS K1 forum as this post K1 and post US entry question *** No need for I-130 as long as you marry within the 90 days given.
  5. No need for that. We didn’t list anything as we qualified solely on income. This was both for I-134 for K1 and then later for I-864 for AOS.

  20. Yes. EAD allows to apply for SSN, get a DL or state ID, it’s a form of ID in itself. AP because life is unpredictable. You never know when you’ll need to leave a country for an emergency back or what have you. Both are free when filing concurrently with I-485.
  21. Then I suggest you simply get a medical exam done. It’s not worth the time and money to fight them.
  22. *** Topic moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** I-130: $535, I-485 (including forms for EAD and AP): $1,225 and a medical exam: probably around $400-500 (this depends on what the civil surgeon charges in the area).
  23. *** Topic moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** Yes. They must file change of address form AR-11 within 10 days of moving. This will also change their field office and they will eventually interview in Nevada.
