  7. I understand, however the point still stands that it is not possible to speed up the process due to the circumstances you described That’s correct. You can’t use ESTA to live there or wait out the process. You can only visit If your fiancé is capable of supporting you and considering that this is a difficult situation, maybe she can help you rent something while you look for another job.
  8. Sorry to hear that. Have you looked into renting a room instead of an entire apartment? When I was a student that’s how I found a place to live. I would look for a room to rent and then I had other roommates. From what you described it seems like living separately would solve the control issue so it’s worth considering. There is no way to speed up the process. Separation is just a natural part of the immigration process.
  9. Agreed. Also want to highlight that those successful transfer cases were from the Warsaw consulate with the justification being that Poland is not issuing Schengen visas to Russian citizens and it is a hassle to obtain it from other Schengen countries. I’m not sure the justification OP provided will be accepted but it’s always free to ask.

  13. Yes, she can file I-131 for any travel including leisure. You have to remember it’s one form but there are many visa categories that have to file, for other ones it’s strict. When I filled this out I put TBD on all those travel dates.

  18. Transfers from consulate to consulate usually take a couple of months, probably 2-3 months is normal. 5 business day is far too soon to be ringing alarm bells. I wouldn’t fill out or pay fees until the transfer is complete.
