    There is no such thing as sponsorship for a tourist visa. He must apply on his own and qualify on his own. I would definitely not marry on the first visit - not only is that a red flag for immigration, but you do not know the person at all. My advice is to meet in a country that doesn’t require a visa (or offers something like visa on arrival or eVisa) for either of you. Take it slow, there is no need to rush into a marriage with a stranger.

    No. You will need to get the actual court papers. USCIS won’t make exceptions because it’s too far away to travel.

Apart from Amex as pointed out by @OldUser, other credit cards statement will not state the authorized user’s name anywhere. We included Amex statements but also included photocopies of other physical credit cards since they show the same card number, expiration dates and our names.

    Even during COVID they did interviews. I was a K1 as well and got an interview in 2022. I think later in the year they really started waiving majority of AOS K1 cases but I’m sure it’s not ALL of them that get waived.

    No, it’s not true and I’d definitely not use this lawyer. Something to keep in mind is that the consulate has all the discretion so it’s up to the reviewing consular officer if the DCF request will be accepted or not.

    When the US petitioner files, USCIS will send a physical letter with the case number. Moreover, I-130 petition is filed by the US citizen. You’re the beneficiary and so it’s not your petition and you can’t add it to your account.
