  4. Note: Present and former residents of the United States do NOT need to submit any U.S. police certificates. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html Yes, you must obtain one. You can find instructions under UK -> police, court records: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/UnitedKingdom.html Just to clarify, K1 applicants do not submit any documents to NVC. There is no interaction with NVC besides them holding your petition until the consulate requests a batch yours is in. You will bring the police certificate to the interview. *** Topic moved from NVC forum to K1 Process & Procedures ***

  6. That is not grounds for a visa denial. in my opinion, the bigger issue is if SA will let him in with the history of overstay. But I’m not well versed in border control policies of SA, maybe someone else will be able to advise.
  7. *** Topic moved from Process & Procedures to Progress Reports as the question is about processing times ***

  12. No. I-485 is only for those who are applying within the US.
  13. *** Topic moved from Bringing Family members of US citizens to the US (consular processing) to AOS work/tourist/student visas - this is an adjustment case, not consular *** I-485 form is the applicant’s form so she has to answer the questions as they relate to her, not you.
  14. OP has given an update: Zombie thread is now closed. VJ Moderation
  15. I have already mentioned that spouses of US citizens are forgiven for overstay. This has also been answered earlier by Crazy Cat. Visa number availability is not applicable to immediate relatives of US citizens. File both concurrently. I also second advice on finding a good lawyer.
  16. It’s been like that since 2019 everywhere

  18. *** Topic moved from K1 fiancé visa forum to What Visa do I need forum ***
  19. *** Topic moved to What Visa Do I need forum as OP is asking about options *** Agreed regarding K1. Regarding sponsoring a spouse, I-485 is not applicable as that’s for those who are adjusting within the US. So that leaves I-130/I-130a only.
  20. *** Topic moved from K1 forum to AOS K1 forum - this now an adjustment form K1 case - please post in this forum section regarding AOS questions *** If the DS-3025 is marked as complete then there’s nothing further that needs to be done - unless you’d like to receive additional vaccinations for personal reasons.
  21. *** Topic moved from K1 forum to AOS K1 forum - this now an adjustment form K1 case ***
  22. *** Topic moved from CR1/IR1 forum to US Citizenship General discussion - this is regarding US citizenship, not a spousal visa process ***
